Several adjustments to the battle system are scheduled for the upcoming version update.
Merit Points Group 2: Maximum Raised for Ability Increases
Adjustments to the Group 2 section of the merit point job categories will be implemented in the upcoming version update.
The current total maximum ability increase of 6 and the individual maximum ability increase of 3 will be raised to match the Group 1 values of 10 and 5, respectively.
New Job Abilities and Spells
In conjunction with the scheduled job adjustments, the monk, paladin, and bard jobs will be receiving new abilities and spells.
For monks, we will be adding a new job ability that allows them to restrict their attacks to kicks only. In exchange for a penalty to attack delay, the monk receives an increase to damage and attack power, as well as a bonus to the amount of TP gained per kick.
Paladins will be receiving a new spell that increases the rate of shield blocks, as well as reflecting blocked damage back to an attacker. As with "Blaze Spikes" and "Dread Spikes," this spell will only affect the caster.
Lastly, bards will gain a job ability that allows them to limit the area effect of a song to a single target.
For example, if a bard casts "Mage's Ballad" after activating this new ability, only the selected target will receive the effect of the song.

Snake Eye timer from 15minutes (1 Merit) to 5minute (5 Merits), which means you can Perfect Roll a Roll every 5 minutes, which is the same duration that a roll lasts for.
Add in the JA that increases Roll Duration, and you're looking at 6:40 minute Rolls, which means you can Perfect Roll a lot of shit.
And 200% TP Bloodpacts... Maybe they will be good now?
Sucks that when Sch Merits are released, they'll take all this new fangled shit into consideration, and not let the Merits be as pimped as other jobs. That, or I can foresee Square-Enix gimpin' all Tier2 Merits to have less recasts and shit, so you have to work harder to get the same result you have now. Certain things on the list of Tier2 Merit upgrades, to 5 buff'd, is simply hax.

Well, at least something like this would be handy for stuff like Einherjar...when the WHM is too close to melees and I end up hitting them w/ Ballad. ><
level 5 DB doesn't seem as great as I thought at first, but level 5 diabolic eye is 20acc for 75% of the time (i.e agressor basicallly) ^^b
Other than that level 5 overwhelm is completely BROKEN, 25% damage increase no matter how shitty your gear is, and level 5 burst2 = 4k on FAF?????????????? also constant penace from 2 MNKs with level 5 will maybe help you guys not wipe to bosses so often
Really? Level 5 desperate blows suck? So explain to me why I spank people in parse? I blame Desperate blows and it's the reason why I can keep up with insanity Ridill/Joy WARs. And they want to give me another 10% delay reduction? What's your excuse?
Oh and another thing... you're not close to cap on haste if your marchs aren't SV. Which in merits/HNMs that aren't zerged, you're not gonna have.

Edit: 17% haste in gear, 15% haste spell, 20% 2x Marchs, and 25% desperate blows is close but not quite cap. And this is without 2hrs.
Edit2: Ok, I can't blame me for being awesome on desperate blows cause then every tom/dick/harrynuts would be awesome. I blame me being awesome because I'm awesome.
Edit3: When I pop LR and I'm buffed to the fkn hell, max I can get is 79% when I swap in Turban for Aces and my Blitz ring. 1% from cap with no 2hrs. Holy. Fuckin. Shit. And I can do this every 4min with 25% attack boost? Sign me up
