stupid police stupid gunman

So we have this gunman who's shot his ex gf killed her bf and shot a copper, a week on the run they've finally caught up to him but he's holding a gun to his head and they've been busy talking for hours. In all this time they've given him food / drink so why didn't they add some spice to his food and knocked him out already.
I'm tired, but I'm also nosey and wanna know when it ends as it ends.
Now I'm all for him blowing his own brains out or aiming one of his guns at the police surrounding him so they shoot the shit out of them but I also think the family of the poor guy who died should get justice so sleeping pills in his food woulda been good.
I hate stale mates, I could have watched Ghandi, Lawrence of Arabia and Avatar in this time.....

I remember a stalemate in LA. I was watching it with a lot of other people and we wouldn't go to sleep until it ended too. He supposedly killed some people and had a gun to his head in a tinted up luxury car. He was surrounded, new choppers all around, and in the middle of the city with crowds all around. It was tense because they couldn't tell if he would point the gun at someone. He was rumored to be some celebrity that also has the same car and same look (they got a view of him at one point). You can't just turn away from situations like that.

guy in jail got dumped
girlfriend got a new boyfriend
guy in jail got out of jail after telling prison warders he was gonna do bad things
prison warders tell policeman
policeman are all like yeah ok whatever
dumped guy gets a gun
shoots ex girlfriend (girlfriend aint in a good way)
kills her new boyfriend and hides
next day crazy gunman rings police and he's all "you didnt listen to me nigga now im gonna shoot the policeman on the motorway"
policeman is all like yeah ok whatever
crazy gunman walks up to policeman in his car and BANG BANG (policeman survives)
Then gunman goes hiding again.
1 week later crazy gunman gets bored of hiding and walks down a street full of policemen and puts a gun to his head
6 hrs later policemen are all like duuuuude... tired give up already
some useless old football player comes to talk with crazy gunman (i swear this would normally be a "only in america" moment)
gunman ain't having non of that so policeman goes screw you POW POW with Tazer
gunman involuntary pulls the trigger LAWL PWNED

now the awesome bit :- the gunmans family who had disowned him for being a maniac are now not happy with coroner's report and want a 2nd opinion
