The boss mechaincs are very different from FFXI in many ways from tanks swapping aggro, to staying out of range from other players, to running away in a particular direction. But yeah, the difficulty level of WoW is set on the players itself. If you play with people who aren't quick and/or have no commons sense, you can't expect to advance very far.

if you play with people that have even half a brain its laughable though. Just if any of the 10-25 people you raid with have less than half of a brain, you're pretty much fucked.
