k so the "good guy" said if they returned to the island they'd have everything right?
they returned to the island and in the parallel universe that was once their lives all is now hunky dory (see the woman who was gonna adopt baby back out of it and clare got to keep baby etc) and they have what they wanted.
However what they all didn't get is they were dealing not with the "good guy" but the devil and they traded off their souls (those "lives" on the island) in the bargain, the devil played em goooooood.
