Slug is a common non-scientific word, which is often applied to any gastropod mollusc whatsoever that has a very reduced shell, a small internal shell, or no shell at all. Gastropods with coiled shells that are big enough to retract into are called snails.
Therefor this Is a Slug
and this be a Snail.
Essentially, the only difference between slugs and snails is that snails carry coiled shells on their backs while slugs don't.
Off topic (...or is it? o.O) but microsoft has really stepped their game up with handling RROD 360's. Mine broke at some point last week, I called them up Tuesday, received repair box on Thursday, sent box to UPS on Friday, and now (Tuesday) I received an email notifying my that my 360 is all set and that they've shipped it out back to me already. pwn... Few more days and i'll be back to kicking some ass in SF4 and Worms Armageddon 2! Not to mention the gears of war2 update comes out today, along with TMNT4: Turtles in Time and Marvel vs Capcom2 at some point before summer ends.

My favourite pastime is waiting for the rain and all the slugs turning up cover in salt let them fizz up a lil then rinse off... rinse and repeat until they dont exist
