I quit in the summer of 06 and kept up on the news only for a short time afterwards. What has, overall, changed since then, out of these things:
1. Do people still do sky?
2. Sea?
3. The old dynamises as well as the ones that were new towards the end of my cycle (Valkrum, etc.)?
4. Where do people level up?
5. Do people still do Limbus?
6. What's the hardest enemy to kill now?
7. Are kings still regularly camped, or have things like K. Body lost their aesthetic/practical value?
8. What jobs suck/are good now? Back when I quit we really utilized Paladin/Ninja a lot more than we used to, which was awesome, but did they ever nerf the /NIN sub for jobs? Do WARs still run the table with multi-hit weapons?
9. Did we kill Vrtra yet?
10. Is Fairy dead?
And more. Just out of curiosity

5. Do people still do Limbus? Kinda
6. What's the hardest enemy to kill now? everything is easy as shit
7. Are kings still regularly camped, or have things like K. Body lost their aesthetic/practical value? People still do, but a free faf isn't too uncommon
8. What jobs suck/are good now? Back when I quit we really utilized Paladin/Ninja a lot more than we used to, which was awesome, but did they ever nerf the /NIN sub for jobs? Do WARs still run the table with multi-hit weapons? PLD/NIN is even more rape, all melee's use /SAM and 2h weps now, except me because I still own with my ridill (... :<)

If someone, who had never played FFXI, asked me to describe the experience, which hasn't changes one bit, I would tell them:
A) Get all of your friends to show up 4 hours early to a movie.
B) Stand in the parking lot and stare intently at the theater the whole time. Don't talk to each other.
C) When the movie is about to start, check to make sure everyone is starting intently at the theater.
D) If someone wasn't staring, wait 2 more hours until the next show starts....repeat C.
E) If everyone was staring, take a pair of dice and roll them.
F) If you get a 12, dispense crack to the entire group, enter the theater and watch the movie.
G) If you roll less than a 12, go home.
H) The next day, start over at step A.
For full effect the movie should always be "Aguirre, the Wrath of God" in German with English subtitles.
