I'm a old school instant messenger. I had trillian back in the old days but I don't even want people to bug me like they did back then anymore. I grew grumpy, I only got this instant messenger because it was one of the conditions for the pc. I don't even tell my friends/family (outside of one cousin) that I'm back to pc instant messengers. I don't like how people can bug you anytime they feel like it. (Bling sound) "Hey dude", (bling sound) dude I know you're there say hey back" It's bad enough we have text messaging now. Having Suka on the buddy list has been cool. He's never home, and don't bug people.

Hogashi wants Nyzul Isle stuffs and help lol. Trying to relive the old SoD team days. I used to tank his limbus runs with my thf and Jrx was whm (oh man Jrx if you're still around, do you remember those days? Good times, too bad you didn't have thf leveled).

Yea, I saw. I have a hard time trying to spend them. I'm better off selling them off somehow, or trying to give them away again lol. I wasn't going to try to collect gear but the anatar harness is on the ah now and it's like 1mil. Oh I wonder how much a ... shoot I forgot the name of that thf dagger. The one that has attack + at sub 100tp and high dmg. The one Eudon and shotokan bought for 20mil+ I always waited on it to hit mass market price. I wonder if it's there yet.

A lot of people have been scratching their heads at why I think it's so awesome. Let me put it like this.

When you have played the game like this for years:





suddenly seeing it like this is shock. The detail in the textures, the resolution, etc.


I'm sure it look normal for you people but this is my first time seeing ffxi run on a pc. Youtube videos don't count.

Obviously you never tried to play ffxi ps2 on a hdtv. I had to even shrink the ffxi picture to not mess up the thread. This is like a new game to me.

Yea man, this game looks amazing, and its 7 years old. It makes me want to get a beefy pc to really see what it can look like. What's going on in eden? Seems like you guys are a bit too laid back or something (that's the vibe I'm hearing). You guys stopped camping?

Atm I'm still useless, I'm learning using the keyboard (i don't play at a desk and have the keyboard on my belly as I lay across the sofa), but it's tough and I still don't know what buttons do the simplest of things. The only useful job I have now is rdm. The others gears are gone, I don't plan on farming to fully equipt them again. I don't plan on staying back in this that long. I'm sticking with rdm even though they may want me as war for nyzul isle, enms, and limbus (coin/+1 af item collecting, not full homam collecting). I'm already bored again, but I think it might change if I figure out the controls and get over not being able to grab thf and go play survivor man.

u can use a wired xbox360 controller for ffxi just the triggers dont work, only LB and RB work for macros

youd hafta use keyboard for rest and autorun

Played it on the xbox originally, with the awesome frame lag and everything.
Graphics still suck.

Ok set up the ps3 controller better. It's now perfect, I have extra buttons if I find anything else. Having logout on start, and whatever on select was a waste on the ps2 setup.

And I don't care what you thought of the game on a xbox 360* (if they made a ps3 version it will still look xxxx times better than the ps2 version. I'm saying the xbox 360 version looks way better than the ps2 version) Boba. The game looks friggin amazing to me on pc still. Mind not changed.
