they don't bring up AV because there's only a handfull of players per server that actually want/can kill the damm thing. I mean look at fairy, only a few LSes have every tried it (yay at us for winning).

If it was brought up, people would just be like "it's too overpowered and we can't kill it, make it weaker"

Sure TouA didnt add any great kings or anything but who cares about cerb when you have a wonderful new city that gives you access to exp areas that give great exp. Not only that but you can make your food last twice as long as well!

To add to that, they have a taru that will warp you to jeuno or your nation which makes tele OP much more useful now.

Then you have assault missions which allow you to get items at your own speed in a small group without having to camp a mob every day. Sure not all the items are great but amir boots, C. chain, potent belt, and many others are worthy "drops" of an hnm.

Top it off with salvage for more great gear, even though it seems the drop rate sucks...but thats still a chance at items without having to camp something for 3 hours vs botters and shit every day.

Also ISNMS for more treats.

CoP is kinda untapped but it was much more challenging to beat than zilart thanks to capped missions. Sure it makes it more annoying/frustrating too but hey it beats getting all the zilart missions done in one day in terms of length and sense of achievement when complete. Choice of tamas/rajas/loltank ring, is a great item. You have many limbus items such as brutal and loc earrings, AF+1 and plenty of gems in the capped areas like Voyagers helm, jaegars ring, soboro, swift belt. You get enms which give great items like foragers, woodsman ring, that other rare acc ring, hedgehog bomb etc etc. This is before even getting to sea and getting those torques and stuff.

So yeah, we may always go back to kings, but not by choice. If we could fight a controlled mob that drops dalmy, cbody,adaberk then the kings would become somewhat obsolete, and since thats a big part of end game i dont think SE is going to offer many flat out better choices.

CoP and TouA offer many great items that you dont really have to compete for, and so they can be worked on slowly. W. Turban, sea torque, brutal earring, rajas ring, woodsman rings, swift belt, foragers/cerb mantle, amir boots. That can make up half of a melees gear from expansions without having to camp a single king.


So yes, you might say you wont get the expansion now, but you will change your mind one day. Each expansion has introduced subtle little things that we dont think about but each has made ffxi much better than it first was.

they will never raise the lvl cap, how will they work capped people with merits ?? it wont happen :/ people will get way too strong, with capped merits your like your lvl 80-82 anyway so theres the lvl cap merityou lazy peeps

Raising the level by 5 will make us match mobs like Genbu, Kirin, KV, Fafnir, ... It just won't happen, people.
