My day with Fenrir, a short-story by Aemora Tessan.Hello! And welcome to Today with Aemora!
Wow, what a busy day it has been! At first I thought it would be a casually boring, uneventful day. But boy, was I wrong!
I was in Ru'Lude Gardens sorting out my inventory, running back to my Mog House so that I could gear up and equip myself for a day of fun Bardage in Crawlers' Nest, when I got a /tell off of some random person in Whitegate asking if I could help him with Fenrir! Boy, was this lucky! I wanted Fenrir, as my Corsair requires his Earring. So I responded that I would help him, and I logged off to check my mules and what not.
After stumbling across 1,200,000 million gil on my Bastok mule, I sorted through my Jeuno mule and came back to my main character, and this random person had gotten another 4 people to help him, all Summoners, so it was in fact going to happen! So, off I trotted to Windurst to pick up my Moon Bauble for some Fenrir-ownage.
Once I reached Windurst I picked up my Bauble and joined the crew. Some Cognatus Summoner's were in the party, ranting about how the Bahamut's Staff is only good for soloing. I think I died a little inside. We also had a conversation about Summoning skill, but they said that it doesn't matter than much anyway. I was disappointed, but not shocked, by my rival summoner bretherin not acknowledging the potential in Summoning Magic skill. Either way, we headed down to Toraimorai Canal and entered the BCNM, "The Moonlit Path".
After some shocking fancy light work, Fenrir came to behold his presence to us!
Oh how manacing he looks! Regardless, we fought a tough battle, filled with awesome epic and true hardship. Perhaps I got lucky, or perhaps it was my Summoning Magic set-up that I had on (which the others did not), that caused the highest Blood Pact of the fight.
Who knows... Who knows... What potential does an item have if you cannot truly understand it? Then again, you must have the item to understand it, so perhaps my nonsensicle rants are a futile endevour to comprehend something beyond my level of comprehension. Or something.
Fenrir bowed after his untimely defeat, and we exited the Battleground the victors! As the Red Mage did not have a viable subjob capable of being remotely useful for the group (he subbed Lv17 Blm; good for selfish reasons), we ran out of Toraimorai Canal, into the Ruins, Sarutabaruta before finally entering Windurst Waters to claim the reward of our hardship.
And thus, my friends, my tale ends, as does my battles with Fenrir. He no longer holds any items of value to me, and thus any further defeat of the Great Celestial Avatar of Darkness must reward with some for of gil.
Or something...
