Mission to marz

After looking at the discovery channel's mission to mars episodes for a few weeks this is suicide. Rydiah please tell me you aren't thinking about being caught up into going up (since they need smart people up there to take care of problems if anything happens). This is crazy stuff, sure the moon was too but this is a loooooong trip. Can't we wait until we get hover boards and the carbon fiber elevator to space stations?

Also why go to a burned out planet in hopes to fix* it or make it suitable for living on after the water is found. The atmosphere is wrecked, an asteroid can hit it as good as it can hit earth, right? I just feel sorry for any astronaut that's going up there for the first round. The second round of astronauts will have it a bit better from lessons learned sure, but at the cost of the first round. They'll still have to deal with living in close quarters for up to 6 months, psychological, physical, and other problems. Drinking purified urine, taking a bath with cloths and a few drops of water (space station situations). I know we can't send prisoners up to do this and all that but this is like cruel and unusual punishment.

Darnit Bush, you had to say it didn't you. Kennedy's effort was more realistic, this is madness.

Did I mention the trip back? How are they going to get out of der. What if there are aliens there that feasts on earth organisms. Heck what if they are not cellular based and more uh gas (ok i'm being crazy) based and enter the astronauts mind and take over, then tell everyone here that mars is awesome and we start sending more people there and the gas makes it's way to earth and start populating Australia frog style. Back to serious, 6 months to get there and 6 months+ to get back is crazy (If they can get back). fear

The drinkable water from urine thing isnt so complex. It can be done as a survival measure in the desert. Pee in moat like small area in the sand. Grab some plastic and spread it over the area, elevated. Then put something under the plastic that can hold water. A small rock on top of the plastic will allow the condensed water to funnel to item you put under the plastic to catch the water.

Sure they have a better, cleaner, faster, and more compact/lighter way of doing it. I'm just saying that it's not rocket science. Oh I did not expect that pun.

Sure looks like it to me. If it was green, blue, brown, and white, with a touch of yellow clouds I'd be all psyched obout this goal. What they expect to find is frozen water that they need a high tech drill to discover, micro organisms, or fossils of past organisms. This it a trip to see if we are originally martians.

Can you imagine that? Us humans being martians, hitching a ride on a piece of mars that was broke off due to a comet. Which then crashed into earth killing off dinosaurs except alligators, dragonflys, catfish, and such as our first act. Then other animals, the Dodo, and as a final act, the ozone. We are wandering planet killers.

Back to serious. They have a theory that all life on earth started on mars. Water was all over mars' surface (valleys, ond the overall planet's geography give clues to it.

lol I don't drink. My grandfather died because of it. I'd probably get hooked and die the same, or car crash now that cars are everywhere and the main cause of death. I'm coming off as being paranoid. Sleep deprivation.

Edit: Oh he means when the person that is talking to me is drunk.
