Maybe one of these days. Is 50 still the level cap?
How is crafting? Can you make bank or everything good is dropped?

Hit a brick wall at 20 now exp is slowing way down, and I pretty much have to start LFP soon. Not looking forward to that. I just want to unlock summoner pretty bad but not motivated enough to do parties or shout for fate spam invite. I wish Fates were like GW2 in that you didn't need to join parties to get a good chance at getting gold rank credit. The targeting is too hectic and I don't auto level sync so before I can join in on a fate that require me to level sync I have to click to sync up and I lose precious credit building time.

Thanksgiving is coming, and I will try to put in a lot of work on this as I wait for the feast to be ready or burned. Or I will have to watch the chillins (children, just felt like saying it that way).

Warning, I wrote this at 5am Sunday right before finally getting a chance to go to sleep. One minute later I deleted it because I knew I was being stupid and unreasonable most likely (I want to unlock a job solo even if I have to level a base class to 50 and power through the quest like I would do in ffxi. I don't remember Dancer, my last unlocked class, being this annoying).

Context
I was awake since Friday morning, started playing ffxiv at around 10pm to get as much done in the weekend as I could. I've seen hallucinations (thinking I was 1 level from 30 when I was actually 4), and fell asleep for 3-8 seconds at a time while playing (walking into walls, heavy eyelids). Near the end I became wide awake after eating something and almost being able to see the fruit of my work. And it was all taken from me. This is the setup for my moment of insanity.

This game trolled me so many times. I couldn't wait until I Lv20 to play summoner, then I found out it was 30. So 10 more levels, long agonizing levels. Sometimes I thought I was level 29 when I was level 26. I stayed up late and wanted to make sure I got summoner unlocked this weekend.

So I get level 30 wooo, it's finally over, I get to see what this thing is about. It looked like I was behind on arcanist missions. So I got them done and finished the level 30 mission. Oh boy! Time for Summoner!

"But wait, there's moooooore_ _ you will have to do!"

I found out I need to get Thaumaturge to level 15. I was in disbelief, tired, just wanted to see summoner. I leveled a class to 30 for it, now I have to level another class I'm not interested in to 15 for it. It can't get any worse than this. Ok, that's whatever, I just need to get 15 on THM and I'm in Summoner town.

NOPE!! HAHAHAHA

I need specific dungeons done to access it too. I was proud of the fact that I was able to bypass dungeons and LFP and got myself to 30, never entering a party in this game yet. Now I'm being pushed into doing a dungeon again:

Lv:10 do this dungeon.

lv:15-20 "You like the the progress you've been making? Cool, you gotta do a dungeon to continue [Trollface].

lv:30 "Look guy, you're going to play these dungeons we made and you're going to like it. You're not only required to play that first dungeon on this class you want nothing to do with but you're going to have to play maybe multiple dungeons just to get to the one that gives you access to summoner

I don't think these games are something I can tolerate much of anymore. I was already not interested in quests, and the long Square Enix "go here come back go there and walk around the planet once, spin around, cough" missions (the A Moogle Kupo d'Etat - Misison 13 - Beaucedine Glacier mission was my last straw in ffxi).

P.S. I stayed up way too long trying to play summoner. It feels like I wasted a Saturday. 5am, finally getting some sleep, no summoner. I sad. If I hit 50, I'm thinking about doing it on Thaumaturge with blizzard 2 (aoe, easy to get exp with that in fates from what I saw. Things might change further in though. I'm really thinking about book burn/abyssea'ing this game though. Get 50 then bam, I beat it.

I kinda think I'm done with the game. It's pretty and stuff but I'd rather use it to see what the linkshell is up to. I wonder if a linkshell chat app is out for this game.

All is forgiven, the game is ok when you don't worry about chocobos, unlocking jobs, or selling stuff on the AH. I can still level up.

I've lately been on a crafting binge, maxing out 3 crafts in the past week alone. I've now maxed out 5 of the 8 crafting jobs and I'm currently working on number 6.

There are ways to make a decent buck without crafting. Crafting, of course, can bring in the big bucks but it requires a non-trivial amount of initial investment. Materia is a bitch.

I started to craft, but I have no access to the AH/trading board, whatever. Locked behind, missions. I thought I did quite a few missions and still had no access to it. Who's bright idea was that? With a full inventory I now drop items I think are less valuable than everything else. They all vendor for 1-10g so screw selling them.

Yeah, it's incredibly stupid that you can't use retainers until the level 20 story quest.

I'm enjoying FF14 a heck of a lot, but like FFXI it has a lot of stupid decisions that make absolutely no sense.

I'm actually in Tonberry. The game is pretty reliant on not having a high ping so I had to move to a Japanese server.

Screw summoner, Scholar wins. No basic spells behind dungeons, hopefully SCH's AF isn't a dungeon. Going to hit 50 and get AF to beat the game.

I killed gilsellers yesterday, well they killed themself. I aggroed a tree and they started attacking it because it was near them. They must have been botting. Good times.
