I loved Demon's Souls and Dark souls and I'm quite looking forward to this game. However, the new director who took over pretty much right out and said that he didn't like the subtlety of the previous games and he's going to be more straightforward. I'm not quite sure I like the sound of that.
This. Idk which was better. Dark Souls seemed a bit more polished being the second one but Demon Souls had the originality aspect going for it. Demon Souls was more frustrating and challenging for me. I used to duo with Rufs until we couldn't kill a boss for him in NG+ though we did kill it for me. He rage quit. I didn't really get into the multi-play of Dark Souls.
Looking forward to this. Not going to spoil it by checking out trailers. Just going to get it and go!

I've only played Dark Souls and it's one of my top 5 favorite games for xbox, but the above statement is the reason why I'm nervous about the next one. The game's charm imo was the subtlety in the game and how you learned what to do and what not to do the hard way. I may be a gaming masochist but my lasting memories almost always involved being scared of the unknown or having to do a certain part multiple times because of the difficulty, it's what made the eventually victory that much sweeter.
