Well hello there. How are we all!

Read over a few of these threads yesterday and it made one very nostalgic indeed.

What's everyone up to these days, outside of gaming. Been nearly 5 years since I joined Eden, and tis fair to say my life has changed somewhat!

I quit in January whilst researching my thesis on the Social and Psychological Impact of MMOGs. The shit I learned writing that (as well as stepping down from leading and lackluster updates) left me not want to play, although I do miss the social side of the game very much.

I wrote a paper on internet addiction when I barely used the internet, it just made me addicted to the internet because I found the addicting side (community stuff, mmorpg , information at your fingertips, and such).

Orite Kookz, well, here it is. Have a read if you like. Talks about Demographics, Avatars, Community, Culture, Education, Therapeutic and Addictive aspects of online (and offline) gaming. The last chapter and conclusion is especially sombering.

Completed my degree in Social Welfare and Counselling, I now am a kinda-counsellor for a Mental Health Charity, a Service Manager Assistant at a Community Counselling Service, and soon will be starting up another job as a Support Worker for kids with Mental Health problems. Do that for a year, then do another course for two years to become a Social Worker so I can fuck up some people's minds some more! Yey!

So what's everyone else up to? How has your lives changed in the last few years? "Not gone to prison" or "scored a chick" ain't counting for jack as answers, btw...
