Forum move

#1 Post by Lutia »

I'm going to move the forums to a NEW AND FASTER AND BETTER AND SHINIER server in a couple of days. Just wanted to prepare the masses with this thread. We definitely need that for maximum performance for all of us.

Of course it will change, I'm preparing www.lutia.net at this time. I'm gonna make sure to add a full IP Address link for you, so you can view it at work just like this one.

The problem is that I do not have any physical access or support to this server 145.253.253.226 anymore. If it dies or gets disconnected, it's gone forever. Well, it has been running like this for 1309 days without problems, but better safe than sorry!

root@irc: uptime
13:55:28 up 1308 days, 23:26, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

(Used to be an irc server)

So glad I checked this area. I don't know how it came to be that we still hang out here even though there's little hope of us all going back to ffxi and doing stuff, though there's a little bit of hope with the expansion pack. Also there's always FFXIV 2.0 right? Right!?

I could add a gay and lesbian forum. A whole lot of people would return for the gay forum. Maybe Tomiko and Lolmy can take over the other one.

I played Demons Souls on PS3, getting Dark Souls on PC. I heard the console versions had framerate problems in areas.

Definitely in some areas the framerate takes an annoying dip. But man even though this game is unforgiving and difficult, definitely my fave game I've played all year (other than gw2 =) ). I'm currently sitting on an unopened Arkham City, 50%done Max Payne 3, and 25%done Dragon's dogma but I can't seem to put darksouls down. Currently 30hrs in and loving it.

Yeah I loved the crap out of Demon's Souls and drooled when Dark Souls was announced. When it came out I was just willing to wait to see if the PC version would happen since they did a xbox version too. I had a feeling it would.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are both great games. Very challenging but without being cheap about it. I clocked a lot of hours on both.

Yeah like what Dion said unforgiving, but you know it was most likely your fault when you die or whatever. Not being careful, being too cocky, or whatever. When I die in Demon's Souls I nod at my mistake ("Yep ploid, you forgot about those guys and rushed in").

Remember the prison area in DS? Man that place creeped me out the more because I was already scared of Flayers from FFXI.

I didn't mind the flayers as much as those freaky bug things in the swamp areas. Hated those things and one would always sneak up on me.

Yep, a majority of my deaths were always because I got to greedy or too anxious. "Maybe if I get just one more swing on 'em I'll kill 'em before he hits me! /death..." Then you gotta watch the words "YOU DIED" for the next 10 seconds as you shake your head in shame...
