Got incredibly unlucky on the third Nosferatu and almost wiped. Uploaded this version for the lulz, fight usually only takes 3 minutes.

My gear is 100% 2005. I do not swap, I perma reward set and wait till stuff dies. Unless someone gets all the Abyssea stuff for me, I'm not doing anything.

Well when you finish your guttler I hope you decide to make the attempt at least. You have 3 perfect jobs to finish your emp armor set. NIN RDM and BLM for staggering so it shouldn't be an issue.

My Ninja gear is a lot worse. I can't solo shit with this setup.

I don't understand how FFXI can get stuff so right when other games so many years later can't. Looking at those vids it's amazing to me how the hate system works in this game. I was hoping Diablo 3 would scratch my bst itch but the pets in this game get ignored just by me being in the game. There's no hate system, it's stupid.

Come on offline or f2p ffxi!

I appreciate the ease of watching the glory of bst from afar. When I did reactivate I couldn't deal with the energy and time it took me to get stuff done. The traveling, the looking for groups, and I was always always out of stones for Abyssea. I wish the game would go ftp just so I can use it as a awesome chat room to catch up with people still playing while checking them out as they do their thing. I wish I was retired and able to play hardcore but I'm sure my sight would be destroyed by then. Gotta stop looking at lcd screens. Phone, tablet, monitor, tv. Everywhere I go.

The travelling from place to place in 11 is the worst. They really need to increase the rate that people run.

That's no excuse and you know it. A NIN with 2x Evasion Atmas and halfassed gear can tank pretty much anything in abyesssa. Hell you could easily build a pair of evasion Katanas and just have +44 Evasion in the weapon slot alone.

I remember tanking cerb on nin once and I died in like 20 seconds, Eudon held it with Xeph until I got back and then we got an algol for a blm or something.

you so silly. Any good nin doesn't use evasion katanas or atmas, ever. Hell, only time I ever equiped an evasion set is my hybrid fast cast/26% haste/evasion set for ichi/ni or when pulling 50+ mobs!

KQQYQQ you were around for atleast the 90, because I didn't come back until then. Pretty sure I remember seeing you at the 95 cap tho.

Truthfully as a 99 NIN you'd only need one. Probably Siren Shadow would be the easiest to get since it's just a T3 in T-Canyon. You could go with that Apoc and Razed Ruins and pretty much tank jesus in Abyessa. The Magian Katanas are stupidly easy to build. The only cost effect part would be upgrading them to 90 and 95 since you need Breeze Geodes and they sadly fetch a high price on the AH for a single.
