We're pleased to announce the Diablo III open beta weekend, which offers open access to all players with a valid Battle.net account! Beginning this Friday everyone is invited to log in and help us put the game and servers through their paces in this three day stress test as we march toward the game's release on May 15. You can begin downloading the Diablo III client right now!

From Friday, April 20 at 12:01 p.m. PDT (noon), until Monday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT you'll be able to log in, team up with friends, and play each of the five heroic classes to level 13 as you fight to save the world from the impending demonic invasion.

Again, it's a short demo area, you'll mostly be testing out the different classes and probably choosing which one you really want to start with at first. Also when they do update/patches they wipe everything so finding uber gear for that level is kinda pointless, well unless you want to see how rare the good gear is. 3 hours over the weekend will probably be enough to burn you out in the beta's playground.

But yeah, at least this'll kick some bugs out. Blizzard is saying that they've already addressed several issues in the past 3 hours related to actually playing so hopefully they remove the cap sometime soon. They're calling it the "stress test" version.

I'll try to play but I probably won't be able to keep up. I should be a support type thing, but that's mnk and mnk is pwn. Actually I don't remember any class that does heavy healing. What is going on? Just everyone manage themselves with help from mnk aoe stuff?

We're all going to wipe in the full game.

Vedder needs loot from 6 headed dragon, we need to try to get it for him, then we do Dhil's uber weapon run again.

For some reason it keeps asking me to make a Battletag. I did (Oriole#1517) and it won't even let me try to get on ;[

I forgot the process I made my battle tag, I think it was on the site, and I had to do some email confirmation. I don't remember.

I did all that also and it still isn't popping up.

I made the battletag but it hasn't asked me to type it in anywhere. I log in with the battlenet account info.

Also, Ploid, there shouldn't be a need for heavy healing with red orbs dropping after kills and they still have health potions that you can administer yourself. D2 was the same, in that there is no healing class, its more about dps and crowd control.

I tried that also since the login button doesn't light up unless you type in an email address...sent em a tech-support e-mail, supposed to take 24-48 hrs.
