Now that I reached 73 and got my weskit, I finally did my goal of testing and figuring out exactly how conserve mp and gear that effects conserve mp work...

The experiment involved 100 casts of warp, with and without the igqira weskit, and recording the mp cost for each set of 100 casts... From this I counted how much mp was conserved total, the number of times conserve mp was triggered, average mp conserved per trigger, and maximum/minimum mp conserved when triggered...

Results are as follows;

Constants

Total MP used without trait: 10000
Total casts: 100

Unmodified Conserve mp

Total MP used: 9308
Total MP conserved: 692
Total number of triggers: 28
Average mp conserved/trigger: 24.7%
Highest % Conserved: 50% (1 time)
Lowest % Conserved: 7% (4 times)
Average mp conservation over time: 6.92%

Conserve mp +2 (Weskit)

Total MP used: 9340
Total MP conserved: 660
Total number of triggers: 25
Average mp conserved/trigger: 26.4%
Highest % Conserved: 50% (3 times)
Lowest % Conserved: 7% (3 times)
Average mp conservation over time: 6.6%

Used up MORE MP with the Weskit, looool!

You know what... For all you haters out there, I am going to do my own test ^^ And post my findings onec and for all.

Without Any Conserve MP.

With Weskit onry.

With Weskit + AF2 Feet.

With Weskit, Af2 Feet and Magnetic Earring.

And then anything I can find to increase it even more.

I SHALL AMY! I SHALL!

I will do it tomorrow after work, because my schedule is pretty bad today, and I await the results. This will shut one of us up. Kekeke~

Well... no matter how your test results turn out, I already have Novio/Moldy, I would not replace those with a Magnet ever (Sure you could say I could put it on for D2ing people, or buffing, but that's too much effort and I'm one lazy nigga :<), so Static is for me (In about 3 hours I can pick it up :^D)

j wot earrings you use fulltime on rdm now?

static isnt for you because you're a rdm and you're not gonna be doin good bursts anyways.. 50~ more damage wont be noticeable, but then again its a free +2mind earring

magnetic gives you the added placebo conserve mp, but when you're subbing something other than blm, its nice to have that extra trait that otherwise wouldnt be available to you

ethreal earring is great for any non /nin tanking rdm, since i believe the idea behind /nin is to not get hit...(and when you do occasionally get hit, you wont see as great an effect as if you're constantly being hit... 3% is small but it can add up)......... im not sure about /blu tanking, but if that is viable, then definately ethreal would be the best choice

hollow earring isnt a bad choice for solo rdms honestly, but you'd only pick this earring if you already have awesome other fulltime earrings you use in all other situations... idk though, i'd think for rdm/nin solo earrings to choose would be brutal/suppa for melee... switch in loq. earring for utsu, ... so idk where you could fit in the hollow

i went with magnetic and its served my whm pretty well, and for lack of a better earring - it served my smn decently too (conserve mp doesnt kick in on BP's =/ )

I'd honestly go with ethereal and would suggest you quit being a pussy and become a serious RDM tank!
...but that's just me ;<

Magnetic is nice, but I think I'd rather stick to my Novia/Astral combo until I get loquacious (sp).

im going with magnetic because i dont see myself tanking anytime in the future with the leet tank with have in eden (lol).

3 reasons why im going with magnetic

1) static = communion earring
2) RDM mp whore
3) lack of better earring
