I just tested this myself, and indeed 1 DEX = 1 ACC for 2handers. I have Screenshots I'll post in a second.

I was just in a merit PT and all I gotta say is "Are you people whining retarded?" I had a SAM/WAR (me), SAM/THF, WAR/NIN, NIN, RDM, BRD. The WAR was a cut and paste walmart WAR. As was the SAM. The only merits I have was 2 GKT merits, 3 STR merits, and max crit. And I'm not a walmart SAM with Justice Torque, Ace's Helm, yadda, yadda. Point being that was I as good if not better than the walmart SAM. Both SAMs ate meat while the WAR ate sushi.

So brings to my point. My WS ranged from 700ish to maxing out at 1.4k Gekkos which was DA. Max was like 1.2k without DA and with nearly 200% TP because I had to hold off firing otherwise I would have been tanking from start of the fight till the end. And this was fighting Mamools.

Now I was expecting to see some god forsaken low numbers on WAR comparatively. Guess what? Didn't happen. Here is a 75 walmart WAR popping off 500-1.1k Rampages CONSISTANTLY. And the walmart SAM? About the same numbers but more on the low side because of the lack of Zerk. If anyone should bitch it should be the same SAMs who have massively better gear barely edging out those who wear random stuff off the AH. All I see are posts about some retard popping off a 2.9k Gekko on a Too Weak. Congratulations, you made a low defense mob explode with a DA.

I wish my parser still worked as I'm pretty sure that it'd show a better clear cut picture of what was happening so I can tell these people who are so /emo cause they're no longer the almighty Triad of merits to take that stick out of their ass and choke on it. Dickholes.

The -ONLY- people who have any sort of room for complaint are the THFs. They've got shat on hardcore this update. Not the MNKs(who seem to bitch the loudest cause they can't punch a black hole into a rarab in W. Ronfaure). Not the NINs. And definately not the WARs.

In retrospect, perhaps the 1 DEX = 1 ACC thing was a bit much.

I was making a statement last night that my WAR/NIN feels cheated. I have 7 AXE merits and I think my Attack was somewhere near 430 unbuffed pre-patch and my GAX was just under 400 attack. Since this new patch, the numbers flipped. With 7 AXE merits the attack isn't even 400. My Byakko's Axe has be sitting at 427 attackish with no merits.

So, I wonder if I should just go and take all my merits out of AXE and slam them into GAX now. Also, would WAR/NINs be meriting machines now or is it now WAR/SAMs or WAR/DRGs?? So many questions.

I went back to axe/sword in dynamis. 2h stuff was neat but I was better off with fast attacking lower delay weapons. I couldn't find a hagun to borrow. I ate meat, don't have steel cyclone unlocked. Highest ragerush was 800, low was 4 because mob had 4 hp. Fort axe until we started fighting the boss ( byakko axe). Used ridll axe after maat area. I had nin sub in case 2h brokeness was over hyped. Mnks shouldn't loose sleep over this. Maybe if when dual hitters missed complete attack rounds when they miss. One missed punch out of a 5 attack round seems minor compaired to 2h /thf missing with their delay. But yeah te accu thing is darn strong.
