And considering that the game i play 99.5% of the time on the pc was targeted at geforce 4 class vidcards ill think a mega expensive one would be a waste for me.

Then why waste money on a GeForce 8 series if the game is targeted at the 4 series? Get a 6 series. That should run the game fine.
