So liek... I heard from a friend that the alpha is kinda cool, the battle system is different from what I remember - it's definitely a lot more fast paced and keeps your interest. It's still got those pretty colours.
I haven't played since before the new jobs were announced so I don't know how much of this is new, but people in alpha are also saying the battle is more streamlined and fun to play.

On Lancer its a button masher.

of course its button mashing, its an alpha at level ~20 with ~10 skills and an incomplete combo system. I'll definitely be playing 2.0, though I'm on ridill and I'm pretty sure you guys are on different servers.

Hopefully the beta gives a better feel for the game, the alpha doesn't really show much and the graphics still need a bit of work imo. They made crafting and gathering a lot better, like, million times better.

Edit: we're on the moogle server, if you guys are on that server let me know and I'll jump on and mess around with you guys!

I might end up re-rolling though since I was only like lvl 36 gladiator and 20's on a bunch of crafts, but I don't mind going through that again just to have a fresh experience.

on Bahamut for alpha, though I doubt I'll get to play again since I'm going back home to my parents for the holidays and alpha ends 27th I think?
