Looks like development is 2 months behind because shifting the shitty servers over to the new ones was gay for dicks. The new release appears to be around April/May, but apparently you can jump in the game so that makes everything better.

I'm thinking sometime in the summer Jun-Aug for the new game.

There's a whole thread on their forums about jumping.... it's long too.

wow, looking at those posts makes me laugh. I should actually check out the xiv forums. Maybe my server was the only half-normal one? Most people I played with were actually pretty cool.
