The thing is they appear to be easy to obtain the base versions (+1) and you can upgrade them to +2 +3 +4 etc which are amazingly better than the +1 version. It seem the upgrade process is like dynamis, abj, etc. You need items requested and maybe currency.

You think the level 85 thf armor is amazing, wait till you see the level 99 hands!

Triple attack + 10%, enhance dual wield effect, placebo hunter + 2, enhance sneak/trick attack, haste + 10%, etc.

Sam is just going to be disgusting with all this. The store TP alone makes sam crazy with the easy 5 hit 100Tp setup or whatever it was.
