OH SNAP...
I used to fucking LOVE this game for Super Nintendo. Blockbuster held a video game tourney like 15 years ago and I was actually in first place nationwide with my NBA Jam score.
I got raped in Clayfighter tho ;/

NBA Hangtime was pretty sweet. A friend and I always played as a duo of midget aliens with max dunk skills.

NBA Jam times were good times. I remember when I got mine, I had a feeling that it was for a limited time, thinking it might get stolen (someone stole my street fighter 2 recently at the time. It was after I let my friends play through my window because I wasn't allowed to have company, then I went to the playground. I guess I didn't lock the window thinking about it now. My child mind thought I lost it at first.). I remember the good times of when NBA Jam T.E. was released. Man I miss being a kid, everyone was into games and I didn't have to run to internet gaming to get my fix. I think the only reason I'm so attached to gaming is because its the only thing I could do when I was in the hospital for a monthish at 7. Been gaming ever since, ditched hand held games though, that's too dorky.
The father of NBA Jam were games like Arch Rivals. There were other games too, I remember everyone going crazy over the fact you could break the glass in those older games. Arch Rivals for being able to throw fouls to steal the ball. Basketball in gaming has become invisible, I miss the good old NBA Live days. Now it's all on Madden, and as Dhil suggested MLB The Show.
I have a Wii so I'll be able to get this game. Too bad wii has friend codes for online, and I don't have a wi fi for wii.

The bulls should have been on the cover. This nostalgia stuff is awesome. Getting older has it's perks, now I see why old people like their jazz records in their basement.

Anyone remember John Paxson? his white ass gave me hope as a young'n that I could make the NBA.
It turns out I really had no chance at all!

I think you mean John Stockton? And yea he was awesum! Jazz was a good team in that game because of him. Assist king.

Nah Paxson was just some white guy on the bulls when they won the first 3 championships.
Wasn't even as good as Stockton but he hit some clutch shots in the playoffs.

there was nothing better than going for a super-ultra-mega dunk with pippen, then at the very very last second, hitting the pass button to a wide open HURDUR armstrong for 3

Oh man this stuff is bringing back so many awesome memories. Alonzo, and Larry pwned. I think NBA Jam started my basketball card collection fad. A lot of people in my area actually.

NBA Jam is the reason people like the NBA even today.
