I'm sorry on behalf of our president for getting the queen an Ipod. I failed to realize that she wasn't a 12 year old girl, and was in fact a Queen.

Uncultured americans running rampant, once again, I appologize.

I giggled >:

Your President is probably feeling horribly embarrassed after the fuss that's been made, poor guy.

Lesson learned: Don't get your wife involved.

You will take the iPod, you will like it, or else this is your next present.

more importantly who broke the royal protocol Michelle? or the Queen herself?!

I too chuckled when Michelle went to hug all those lil school children and her minders, clearly thinking they are still in America where children kill each other in school, nearly had heart attacks :lmao:

making a big deal out of breaking useless antiquated protocols regarding a useless just for show monarchy is hilarious, the haters are really grasping straws here^^

shoulda given signed portraits of themselves instead amirite

President and First Lady Obama gave Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II a video iPod with inscription, songs uploaded and accessories, plus a rare musical songbook signed by Richard Rodgers.

Uploaded onto the iPod:

* Photos from the Queen's 2007 White House State Visit
* Photos from the Queen's 2007 Jamestown, Va., Visit
* Photos from the Queen's 2007 Richmond, Va., Visit
* Video from the Queen's 1957 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen's 2007 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen's 2007 Richmond Visit
* Photos from President Obama's Inauguration
* Audio of then-state senator Obama's speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and
* Audio of President Obama 2009 Inauguration Address

Britain's Press Association reports that the Royal couple gave the Obamas "a silver-framed, signed photograph of themselves."

The Queen is said to be into tech. She has a blackberry too, and this won't be her first ipod.

Not as big a deal as the media was obviously going to make of it, but what did you expect? The morons who still believe in the monarchy and go and cry at scream at royal processions to stay silent?
Also, didnt Obama give Gorden Brown an American Boxset of DVDs, that he couldnt play on an english dvd player!?
Still, its the thought that counts I guess. And given that you ARE all american, I guess we'll just let it slide.

Btw, Signed picture of the queen = £££££££££££

You guys really need to watch Kings. These Queens, and Kings are just like any other person. Same for celebs, flesh and blood, nothing supernatural. Oh noes, someone touched the relic person. (sorry for possibly offending, just something I find odd)

LOL, priceless. I guess it's custom to give a picture of yourself to someone else there or something???

In that case, I would love to do you Redcoats the honor:
