you've had to have felt depressed once in your life.


Tell us what happened and why you felt this way at least once in the past.

Last time i was depressed was when i lost my job then my car broke down within the same week, and had zero funds to do anything.

I can think of 2:

When I was a teen, maybe like 14 or 15 I fell into a state of depression for a while, I cried a lot because I hated myself and I wanted to kill myself (I know you're all thinking I should've done it!). I got over it eventually.

2nd time was back in '06. I worked in a retail store for 3 years as a shift manager, and they worked me like a dog. I'd close one night and be there with the crew until 1 or 2AM, and I'd have to open the next morning at 7AM. I'd have to do retarded shifts like this repetitively, and finally I took some vacation time for my birthday to go home and see my family and friends. Lo and behold, on my birthday one of the associates, a girl who I didn't necessarily hang out with, called me and informed me that they were planning on firing me when I got back. The day before I had gotten a call from the store manager, but I ignored it thinking they wanted me to come in to work. I called him and he said 'We'll talk about it when you get back'. Sure enough they fired me when I got back for some retarded reason, but in the end he fired me because he didn't like the fact that I was gay.

Anyways, after that it took me forever to find a new job, working temp jobs that sucked ass, and not even having money to pay for rent, bills, food, and cat food. On top of that, in the heat of the summer, my AC had broken down and I never called to get it fixed out of fear that they would say something about my neglected rent. Finally found a good job and worked there for almost a year, only to get fired for going to see my family when my parents were in the process of getting divorced (another blow) cuz I DIDN'T CALL IN EVERY DAY! Eventually I found a good job that I currently am at now, and have moved up and am in everyone's good graces. Granted I hate this job but it's just a stepping stone.

when i lost my scholarship which i needed to be able to pay for school to a dude who's parents bought him a 300k apartment and drove a 50k car to school everyday. oh. and the scholarship was supposed to be for people who needed it ^^
