I was going to post a few pictures of my pet parakeets for those who wanted to see them here are a few.
This is a picture of one of the younger birds hes very well natured but his legs are partially deformed but hes still able to get around and fly fine and we've made adjustments and add ons to their cage to help him and one other bird.

These next two pictures are of two of our other birds that are close to each other had a difficult time getting them one at a time so I just took a few screens of them together.

There where two other birds that i haven't taken pictures of yet and i most likely wont as they cant hold still long enough for me to take a screen of them.

they are pretty Xeph and your cat will love em,they tweet loads and like their distant relative the parrot u can teach em to sing a tune with a lot of patience
budgerigars learn to talk best if taught by just one person and they respond well to a women or a childs voice.when teaching your budgie to talk make sure the room is quiet,to many people around or the tv on in the background may confuse your budgie and make it hard to concentrate.start with a simple phrase such as your budgies name or hello.repeat the phrase often and always in the exact way.before long the budgerigar will mimic the phrase and you can move onto the next one.some budgerigars will never learn to talk but with patience can usually be taught to whistle tunes.

From what I can remember, these birds are extremely loyal, one owner types.

I had a pair in high school, they were a valentines gift from my HS sweetheart, the mimic'd his whistle (I can't whistle, so he had taught them before gifting) They were fantastic pets. Until my cat got them both after a month. As a consolation prize, he bought me two more. Now the cats knew what they tasted like, these didnt make it a week. I gave up after that, they are kind of expensive to be cat treats.

Nothing in my house growing up made it to ripe old age.
Your's are beautiful.
