Welp the topic title doesnt rly fit whats going on, but as of today i am putting FFXI down.

Sorry to say after being in eden for nearly 3 years most of you i consider family.

But due to recent events (laid off at work) i am going to quit ffxi till i can find a new job.

I coudl technically still play, but if i do itll be harder to go out and find a new job cuz of how addicting the game is for me.

so hopefully ill get hired at someplace else and return to you all in a couple of weeks.

Ill miss every single one of you.

Kclub was passed to mert (dont worry) and i gave Eudon all of my pops

welp, thats it. ill stay on the forums and poke in from time to time to see everyone.

Take it from me, staying in the forum is almost like being online in whitegate. A good fix if you're thinking about going back in. Well that was before Safer quit the forums now the forums are a bit harder to use as a fix.

Never put this game before life situations that need your attention. Like MGS4, GTA, Job hunting, and running for president.

i honestly dont think i shoudl QUIT per se' but some time off would be nice.

Get a psp, and play other games. Do something to take your mind off of ffxi. Don't come to the forums until you found something else to take your mind off it like a full time job lol. Then when you're committed to something already and can't really get on often it's safe to come back to the forums. If you're still not fixed level bst and see how "xp" with full parties are such a waste vs being able to xp when you feel like it and afk when you feel like it.

Also cancel your account and buy wii online games with the money each time and watch them stack up and provide yo with a lot of popcorn gaming and you'll get hooked on pick up and play game collecting. Stuff you can drop to look for a job or do whatever pops up.

Wii ware? Wii virtual games? Whatever it's called.

Don't do it. WoW will suck up your time to get you to 70 and then... n o t h i n g .

I had first hand experience and I'll say this, FFXI endgame fun > WoW endgame boredom anytime, anyday.

Just break everything that can run ffxi... it has worked wonders for me. I go to log in and cry for an hour, then look for stuff to sell so that I can get a new computer.

FFXI actually has diversity. (not some stupid click and afk game)

and i just recently had sex with my gf.
