I recently got a $400 walmart e-machine that came with a 1080p monitor and a 1TB HDD (it's not for gaming at all). This was around Feb.

Yeah as long as you're cool with it it don't matter. People also pay for the ease of having others do the work of getting things up and running so they don't have to deal with the hassle. As long as it's working and run well, you can always upgrade if you run out of space or something.
Games these days eat up a lot of space. I'm thinking about getting a 2tb drive so I don't have to constantly uninstall, and finally back up my OS and stuff.

600gb?!? I bought my computer 3 years ago and that came with 2TBs and I paid £550 for it back then. 8GB RAM, Intel i5, mid-top Nvidio card (back then, probably more mid-range now). You got hoisted!

Nostalgia kicking in again. When I read the bottom of the drg weapon it read as lol Drg 99 in my mind at first for a split second. Darn FFXI community, ruined my perception of DRG even though it seemed pretty darn awesome before I quit again.
