Sure is just using a higher background resolution. You know, stuff you can change in your FFXI Configuration. Need a decent PC for that.
Btw. gimme your stuff.

Ya, 2x background resolution, and forced anisotropic filtering.
This wiki explains it somewhat

Been busy helping a few folks with Abyessa stuff along with me playing around with Corsair!

Big Dragon is Big..

Like my widdle bullets are gonna hurt it!

VNM hunting in La Thiene....

Thought this image of the moon in the background really stood out.

Terra's Staff to compare to this new Stave which was just released yesterday..
In case anyone is curious about the stats...

It's pretty much all 8 Staves rolled into one. The only staff you should be keeping is Terra's for the -PDT but that's about it. +6 inventory Space Whooo!!

Shouldn't the old ele staves be better for nukan still?
Replaces light staff onry imo
I don't play anymore so I give you a nostalgic \_/

Believe it or not, it's all 8 Staves rolled into one staff. The only thing it lacks is the -PDT of Terra's and that is it.
"Iridescence" adds an additional 10% potency bonus to weather procs (weather multiplier becomes 1.2 vs 1.1 for single weather, when it procs). Elemental obis will force the combined Iridescence/Weather proc.
Iridescence has no effect on day potency bonus.
Has the following hidden effects: All elements: Magic Potency +15%
All elements: Magic Accuracy +15
All elements: Avatar and spirit perpetuation cost -3

close friend built it for 1k, I've yet to play a game that doesn't run full fps with maxed graphics. (swtor, ffxiv (other than the retarded server lag when zoning, of course), WoW, FFXI, MW3 etc~)

No 2TB HDD 7200rpm, with the OS on a solid state drive? You got robbed!
These days 1k should get you a ton of awesome stuff on a computer. He probably included a builder's fee or something. Good gig.

He didn't, however when I bought my pc was when (they probably still are?) Hdds were tripple what they used to be price wise, plus the 600 gig is plenty
