My moms died like 2-3 years ago and when I hear "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen I can't help myself and get teary eyed sometimes. Shit sucks lol
Emotions be fuckin' with people.
I moved out of my house when I was 13, I don't understand the close knit family dynamic at all. So deaths don't generally upset me.. we all gotta go sometime rite~
My womans mom died a few months after mine and she still gets really bent about it. I'm no good at the consoling game either

Whoa moved out at 13, I bet you're rugged as they come. Your beard probably has a beard.
When my grandmother died which is the closest person to me that have died, I was torn up for that day in disbelief. That same day I tried to forget about it by doing our 10 hour sky runs, and no breakdowns. Well other than a even harder heart, not getting too attached to people again, and not wanting people to be as upset if I die. It also added a reason for me not to have kids, or to be depended on outside of possibly being a boss. People love to see bosses die. The loot drops are always good, it's just you have to fight to get it before the next person does.

I've had 5 or 6 friends die on me and I witnessed one of them, it fucked me up for quite a while. Aunt, uncle, grandma. Never gets any easier. The worst part of a funeral for me is everyone else. Seeing the family so torn up is what gets to me usually.

Dang Sef, you should be like a hollow soul by now. One of the reasons I don't want to be able to live forever. Constantly watching people die. Multiple kids, grand kids, great grand kids, wives, etc. You'd have to turn into something bad.

funerals blow.. people crying everywhere, nothing you could say makes anyone feel better, awkward moments of trying to make people feel better because wtf else are you supposed to do.
I just want people to come to my funeral and mingle/get sloshed.. where the coffin usually is I want to just have a few keggers and a bar set up and let people have a good time. At least as much as is possible at one~

Coffin is next to kegs, drink propped up in hand, etc.
Totally agree.
I've only been to one Funeral, my grandfathers. It wasn't until I actually seen him in the coffin until I actually realized he was gone. Closest I've been to crying for as long as I can remember. I'm one of those guys that don't cry, ever.

I cry I just don't tell anyone, but if I cry in front of someone it gets ugly. Well I was a kid then, haven't done that in a while. I hold too much in, and I explode, my time is due and it's going to be embarrassing.

Oh nvm, I went all out in 2005 when I found out my grandmother died. They set me up pretty bad though. No easing me into it, full blow. Someone picked me up, took me to the hospital, no word on why I was being brought there. Then I get in this room with a lot of my relatives and they're all crying, and I'm wonder what the crap. Then bam, grandma in other room out cold. I got punked. Contagious crying + actual reason to cry = sprinkler system and baby alarm instincts.

Funerals always seem surreal to me. Three of my grandparents have passed plus a lot of aunts and uncles. My grandfather (the one grandparent left) had 8 brothers and half have died, 3 in the last 5 years. Anyways, I've never cried at a funeral, and I'm not saying that to seem tough, it just is what it is. I wasn't very close to my dad's parents and only saw them once a year, plus they only spoke spanish, which I barely could understand since High school spanish was a joke.
My mom's mother was a big part of my life and was around a lot, but she died from cancer and it was a long, drawn out ordeal. The last year of her life she seemed like a shell of herself. Couldn't communicate, didn't seem to recognize people, so by the time she died, it was almost a relief, since she wasn't in pain anymore. I didn't cry, but I did kind of shut down. I didn't want to talk to anyone or do anything. I think I failed a class that quarter, or maybe a D (I was an Honors kid).

My grandmother was darn healthy and could out last me when I help her work in her yard. Her death was a shock. I dropped her off the previous night and everything seemed normal. My family suspected foul play. 11 brothers and sisters split up like dragonballs. I thought about visiting them all and recording a video making it into a movie documentary, then sending it to each of them. It's one of the reasons I urged Mira to do the video, and picture spam thing while they can. There's like no pictures and stuff of my family doing stuff. Oh and someone attempted to burn my grand's house down seemingly due to the friction among siblings.
If you have kids, make sure to have your house sold and have the money evenly split among the kids. If one really can't bear to have the house gone they shall buy it. It's good that someone want's your treasure. Most of the time the kids couldn't care less about something you really cared about and collected. lol old fashion 90 inch plasma tv.
Edit:
lol emo thread living up to it's name finally.
I think I still have dreams where my grandmother never died and I try to stay sleep to keep her around. One time she was a zombie and that was kinda creepy but still ok. I miss how she brought the whole family together and almost every saturday or something, multiple cousins, aunts, and uncles were around. Now I have to go all over the US to chill with cousins. I seriously need to take photography class, video editing, and such and make this boss family documentary for my relatives. It's such a awesome idea, and they would have to bow down to my awesomeness. Someone would probably ruin it and put it on the internet (their facebook, omgosh Becky, like, omgosh) and expose people though.

You look like a punk when you cry. You can't cry then walk away like a baws. Just don't mix.

If you're crying because you're a pussy that's different.
If you're crying at a funeral no one is going to judge you. <_<

Ok it was her friend since 3rd grade.
"JACKSON, Miss. -- Jackson police investigated the shooting death of a 21-year-old man Tuesday night.
The shooting happened about 8 p.m. at the Apple Ridge Shopping Center in the 1100 block of Joanne Street, police said.
Investigators said Shelby Hall Jr. was shot multiple times while sitting in a silver Mitsubishi Montero Sport. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Police said they don't have any suspect information."
Probably a hate crime. He liked guys, had problems with his family accepting him, and She was like family to him. Figured it was something special, and had to be like a family member, but I knew it wasn't one of her family.

Personally I wish guns were taken off the streets. Screw NRA and whatever other reasons, other than hunting, to have guns. If it's to get unwanted people off your property you'll just insult them and make them want to catch you with your guard down. I don't know, but for every legit gun owner that buys in defense there's 7 guns out there for offense (numbers pulled out of thin air).
I'm scared someone is going to blast me as I wait outside of the store for little reason now. Time to move to Canada.

Plus in the south they're extremely property-driven (due to all the stupid rednecks) and they will/can shoot you just for going on their property.
