I got a dui.

I got back to my friends apartment at like 3 am, slept until 6:30, was hungover, left, got pulled over 2 mins down the road, wham.

gg, no license for a year.

blew just enough over the limit that they could give me a fine. My friend who left at the same time as me got pulled over also, blew just under, he lost it for a week. I'm guessing someone watched us go into his apartment, because we were fairly loud, sat around and had a smoke before we went in, then when we left they called us in.

Only reason I even left was because I had to put windows in my grandmothers house that morning.

yup. I've got a criminal record now. Pretty sure its not hard to get pardoned from, but I haven't looked much into it yet.

Every time I seen my friends for about a month they said "convict" in that lil wayne voice.

lol I hate when I'm given a name that I don't like. T.O. Conrad was the one I hated the most. So glad that passed, I have no idea why they started calling me that other than my name starting with "To."

they don't fuck around with dui nowadays though so depending what you level you blew it's pretty hard to get them to lower it :/

I didn't bother fighting it, I talked to the woman on duty there and she said that there's really no chance to win it. I did get the lowest sentence/fine, and the judge actually said she feels bad for me, but there's nothing they can do.

Girl I know pulled her car over on the side of the road because she decided she was too drunk to go on and when the cops woke her up (lol) they charged her.

I used to put my keys in the trunk if i knew I was going to be sleeping in the car, only way to not get charged really. Only that makes it really easy to lock your keys in the car.

car's actually in my parents name, so its not tagged. But, if I'm caught I go to jail. I don't think I'll chance it

What sucks even more is I lose my license for nearly 2 months on top of the year, because the year doesn't start until the court date, so between when I got caught and the court date doesn't count towards shit.

well 2 months out of a year really isn't that bad

the first 2 months are the worst, then the court date comes and you know for sure its 12 more months. I'm starting to get used to it now, court date was in February, lost it over a month before that. I don't live in the city either, so its not like I can leave my house and in 5 mins I'm at a mall or whatever, the closest thing to my house is a grocery store, Jessy's pizza and Tim Hortents. Its about an hour walk. An actual mall is 30+ min drive. It really sucks when I was used to being so outgoing, now I'm stuck sitting at home weeknights after work.
