It's as serious as you want it to be. D2 you could play for 10 minutes or 10 hours depending on how much time you had. Boss runs only took a minute or two and I think D3 will be the same. Sure seemed like it from the demo and with the added checkpoint system in D3, I think you could log out at any time without losing much/any progress.

Me and my xbawkslive buddy(Fleury)talked about this for a bit today, he was saying that some of the game designers were doing a boss battle and it took them like an hour to beat it. Said they kept dying and had to change job classes to finaly bring it down, which is good, because thats the exact kind of game im looking to get into, going to start custom building my computer today, hopefuly will have it by the end next month

That hour long zombie'd boss battle sound like something from FFXI, especially the job changing.

I doubt it's that bad really. Nothing in the Beta (yes I know it's the very beginning) was even remotely difficult.

Even if it was, at least there would be no camping, and competing for NMs only to have camped without getting the chance to fight. Never mind the fire crystal only drops.

1 minute at level 10...also "training" is just hilarious.

His group plan on being the world's first to beat Nightmare, and maybe the world first to 60 and stuff. That's why they are training, also they apparently study a lot of data they put together based on everything they gathered about the game. A statistics thing, they are bringing a WOW mmorpg mentality to it because they think Blizzard added what they learned from wow and the big wow fights to DIablo3.

Just explaining why they are training so hard on a beta. It's nothing I would do personally but I admire their dedication. They better get something good out of all this. Maybe they will be the ones that sell vedder his Ring of Jordawhatever for $200.
