i played the last month since i still had a copy from SE with a free month, but didn't continue my subscription.

leveling is so easy and boring, i just played a few hours and did some leves and got to like 44 in no time.
the new AFs look cool though.

since i live back home i hope that my connection will be good enough for D3, and since i'm completely bored i thought about reactivating XI for a month -.-

14 was still pretty shitty last time I played, doubt it will ever get re-activated.. though they said if you have been a sub for 3 months before v2 comes out you get discounted monthly fee for life so I might activate it for another month or two.

I want that discount I will most likely never take advantage of.

"For life" comes off as shakey to me though, meaning that it's going to sooner-rather-than-later go free to play or there won't be very many/any x-pacs.

Idk how many subs they still have, but there is a pretty strong "this game is awesome and will only get better" group of people, enough to keep it afloat? I have no idea.

I hope it does succeed, I'd like to give it a shot when the Ps3 version comes out, I just don't know how well it's going to do.

ya there is a shitload of fanboys running around. the "big battles" like ifrit und garuda look pretty cool. but like any other mmo... it pretty much comes and goes with the people playing. sadly no game had the ppl xi had :\


lets see what they are showing at E3, TGS and gamescom. that are probably the last chances for them to get it back on track and to get some people back. they probably would have been more succesful if they just pimped xi ;D

they tried to pimp XI, imo raising the level cap was one of the worst things they coulda done...also making basically all crafts useless.

well i meant pimping it graphic wise.

raising the level cap was the dumbest thing they could have done. everything you worked for and everything you had to wait for ages was completly useless.
the funniest things are that one of the dumbest people can get everything now without really working for it. one of them is also a sackholder in ED now

It was terrible the last time I played.. maybe in February or March, don't think it will be "fixed" until v2 comes out.
