More unnatural deaths on the highway than anywhere else per year. Intersections are the deadliest places. Etc etc. And this is when you're in a car. But man, the miles per gallon is so sexy. Motorcycles average at around 56mpg, while automobiles average at around 22.4mpg.

I don't get that vehicle. Is it supposed to look like a hotdog with the bun that's not wrapped around the wiener, or a wiener on some cheese? Any who, it seems like the bottom section was a sports car that got crushed by a big tube.

Man, you guys are going to laf at me. So I put down the $500 deposit via pay pal. Then proceeded to pay the $2800 for the bike via western union. Then the guy says he'll send the tracking number asap. Yesterday I get a email from a new address saying that someone used his account and put the bike on it. No tracking number yet, and I just now notice ebay's guide to buying vehicles is to never pay via western union, or moneygram. Then I take a look at his history which is 100% and 30+ entries. All sold items was some small gold bar for $40 within 3 days. Owned :cry2: Well the $500 should be able to be returned. I think I'm done with this internet business. The car I got before was the same way other than the fact I was able to travel there and was told by the seller to meet them and trade the paper personally. Darnit.

My co-worker's kid died in a motorcycle accident about a year ago.

Those things are death traps waiting to happen. Money saved on gas isn't worth an early death.

Now if you are just using it on sunny days out in the countryside on weekends, that's perfectly fine. Using it as an everyday vehicle to commute, I'd advise against. Doesn't matter how well you can drive it if another person hits you.

I've been doing a lot of research on this stuff, and been shopping around to legal action. But I find that there is little I can do outside of possibly getting my 500 deposit back if I was on the ebay site to begin with. So there is more to this scam. This group of scammers i was got by may even have had access to more than the money I traded them. There are known to not only trick you into going to a off ebay site that's dressed exactly like ebay, record your information you put in, and your pay pal possibly. Now I have to worry about other possible things like identity theft... this is my worst nightmare it seem. Man I'm screwed. Be careful out there people.

Seems like more people want bikes now. I saw this on my way to check my email.

Soaring Gas Prices Lead Some to Seek Two-Wheeled Alternatives
Published: 6/25/08, 5:21 PM EDT

Passing by the same gas station on the way to work, each morning it seems as though the gas prices have climbed by a penny or two. On those rare instances when the price actually drops, be it ever so marginally, Amanda Jay becomes giddy. "It's as if it's a sign that at least for a moment all is right with the world. But the feeling doesn't last long," she says. "By the time I pass by again on the afternoon commute it'll likely be three or four cents higher."

Amanda, like many people, was putting over sixty dollars worth of gas in the tank of her SUV at least twice a week. With fuel costs cutting wide swathes into other areas of her personal budget, she finally said enough is enough. Amanda made the same move that many Americans are making to deal with the rising cost of gas. She bought a motorcycle. "My motorcycle gets better than twice the mileage that my SUV," Amanda says. "On days that the weather is decent, I can ride my motorcycle to the office and I have more than cut my commuting cost in half. The bike will end up paying for itself."

Amanda's not alone. While car sales are in decline, motorcycle dealerships across the country are setting sales records. People who would have never considered themselves the "biker type" are throwing a leg over a motorcycle for the first time, while many former motorcyclists are returning. Men and women of all ages have been flocking to dealerships, and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation is estimating that over 300,000 people will take the new rider course this year.

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and the American Motorcyclist Association both highly recommend taking a training course for new and returning riders. "Riding a motorcycle is more dangerous than driving a car and a rider, new or old, can never be too prepared." In addition to taking an organized course, the MSF recommends the use of personal protective gear including abrasion resistant jacket and pants, gloves, boots and (most importantly) a DOT approved helmet.

"Not only am I saving money by riding a motorcycle to work," Amanda went on to say, "it's actually made my commute fun."

Darn gas prices.

I felt this is appropriate. Image

I love how the internet is these days. Pictures that are videos, all over the net. I remember when I first got access to the internet, seeing high resolution pictures, and all the rich color was the best thing the net had going for it.
