They made it a mmo by making it always online, and a ffxi like AH that you pretty must use to gear up effectively for inferno, or maybe even Hell mode. That or farm gobs, chests, gold, jars, etc which they nerfed with the quickness because they think it's not fun for us to do (bypassing the AH, and RMAH).
