I was thinking the game was looking bad but that was because of compressed stills and crap. Example:

The scene was way different in the original trailer too ;D

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:

Original E3 2006 video-

Notice how detailed the model is? Obviously this is a target render, but the current gameplay model is no where near that detailed.

Low poly examples-

Really, this just looks like PS2 graphics in HD... see the gun here...


Snow looks fine here, but Vanille looks really bad. Her face is all wrong and you can see the blocky fingers.

As you can see, it definitely doesn't look like the original E3 2006 trailer model, most noticeably, the hair.

But after seeing it in motion, and on a good tv vs my small monitor I guess it's not so bad. Not amazing, but not as bad as the above close ups of a flash video.

Good looking out for the people that are still holding on to ffxiii ant. I think they are messing up going back to turn based fighting. Where's my offline ffxi, or a better ffxi styled game offline. People need to play Fallout3 and realize how old turn based it.
