You know, a friend of mine went to Canada. He was talking to a dude in a bar up there about American money and Canadian money. The Canadian went on and on and on about how it's hard to distinguish between American currency (dollars) and that Canadians made it easier by color coating their bills. My friend paused and said "Most Americans just read the numbers on the bills."
And about US money. IT IS FKN SHIT. It looks liek monopoly money FFS. Every note is same size and color. And it fkn stinks. Sterling is so much nicer, even tho our new £20 looks liek toy money. -.-
But i guess i will have to get used to dollars soon, as i soon will be converting at least £200-250 a month into $ for wen i move.

American money is all the same shape and size. >_<;
You'll just have to READ the money you're putting down the womans panties.

but i am lazy!!!
English notes (Bills) are larger depending on value. hence £5 is the smallest and £50 is the largest (TBH it is fkn huge and stoopid looking but there u go, O and it is pink). And all are diff color, £5= green, £10= red/orange, £20= purple, £50= pink (as i sed b4.
So much easier.

But once again i will have to get used to USD soon so nvm XD

uh, rite. Couple minor mistakes with the info given here, lol.
Dual Wield/Martial arts reduction is calculated first, then haste( Sure you know this, just saying ;o ). It's additive. 20% haste is 20% haste
BUT
and this is why the actual haste and delay numbers vary from what you would think due to a purely additive number..
Haste, along with damage reduction is not calculated in wholes, it is calculated in 256ths. Example being Black Belt. The haste it gives is actually 30/256, not 12%. It's simply rounded on the item description.
Also, as a final note. The 50% haste cap is for spell recasts only. Melee attack speed can be lowered by up to 70%
edit: I'll explain a little more closely. You take the 12% of BB, rite?
256 * 0.12 = 30.72 Now, in FFXI all equation values are immediately floored. So we get 30.
So, let's make this as simple as possible, let's take a flat delay of 500.
floor[(256 - 30)/256 * 500] = floor[226/256 * 500] = floor[441.4~] = 441 being the new delay. This makes it an 11.8% haste effect.

The difference between 256ths' flooring and straight percentage multiplication nets a whole
1 delay. >_>a I don't see how anyone could test 1 delay of difference...

On one item, with that particular delay, but it changes when you stack higher values on differing bases. Besides, I did say that these were *minor* errors.
If anyone *really* wants to see if I'm telling the truth, slap on a jelly ring and an earth staff and go melee a Cactuar until it does 1000 Needles. You will take 753 damage.
This is how damage reduc and haste is calculated. They use one byte to represent the damage reduction and haste value, which can take on 256 possible values, and represents the range from 0->1.
On that note, while Haste and Damage reduction remain purely additive, remember that each value must be calculated before you add them all together, as the % on the item description isn't entirely correct.
If you want to be as exact as possible, the formula for the real value on an item is 'floor[value * 256 / 100]' where 'value' represents the number on the item description.
