I tried to look this up on my own but what is Diablo ladder reset? Do you start over as level 1 with no gear and stuff?

In what context, Diablo II or III?

Diablo 2, I'm curious because people seem to be interested in it a lot. It seem like a restart on everyone's character and they race to get to the top of a leader board to see who's the best. I read that the enemies are tougher in D2's ladder but I have no idea what happens when it all resets. Ladder reset seem to get people all giddy.

Edit 2: I made it to the dungeon keep part of act 3 just now. It was darn hard. Oh and crap drops still.

That is pretty close to how I built my mnk except he has better gear, more crit+ and crit dmg.

D3 - Diablo 3, TL2 - Torchlight 2 (a diablo kind of game), POE - Path of Exile (another Diablo type of game). Runic - People that make Torchlight 2.

Also it's not one thing that makes me want to stop wasting my time. Good loot hardly drops, the end game is just going through the same content on another difficulty (the dungeons aren't that random). Even if I did beat Inferno, what then? The game has cheap enemies. Online only with lag deaths. Bad loot, uninteresting loot, having to play the AH for stuff to survive better in inferno. Witch Doctor's pets are pushovers.

I have 600 secret tomes from farming. 600! I recently decided to start picking them up. 600!!!

D3 has lost its luster for me also. I haven't given up but I have picked up a couple other games. D3 was the only thing I was playing since its release. Its not bad, but its not what I think it should or could be and Blizz is being retarded with all these changes that basically say "Play the game the way we intended it to be played." Nothing good drops while leveling which has made it a chore especially 50+ since the levels are bigger and take more time. Builds are pretty much 95% based on gear and the classes don't really play that differently. My DH gear would work great on my Mnk and that seems kind of dumb. This game shouldn't be called Diablo 3, the only thing in common is that it is part of the same point + click, dungeon crawl genre.

I hope it gets better. I'll still play a bit probably and will try to keep my AH full of sales, but D3 isn't getting all my playing time anymore.

I'm going to get Torchlight 2, after playing a demo of Torchlight 1. The graphics are a bit cartoonish imo, but the gameplay is remarkably similar to Diablo 2 and for 20 bucks I get both 1 & 2.

Heads up, they really buffed the act 3 and 4 drops, almost no level 50 items drop. Bosses drop 2 - 3 rares, and all that. People seem to be liking it, though they aren't mentioning if they are mostly getting 100-500 weapon dps from identified or magic items. If you still play take advantage before they tone the drops down.
