We had +10(Celsius, you heathen Americans) for a few days last week.
That is pretty excellent for Southern Ontario in mid January!

The weather has been crazy here as well, we'll have 2-3 days at -10 to -15, then 2-3 days at 0-5. One day last week, when I left for work it was -21, by lunch it was +5. We had a snow storm last night, -10ish. Today, +7 and our foot of snow is nearly gone.

Wish Iran or North Korea would let a few nuke tests off to burn some of that pesky atmosphere away already.

Then you'd get a nuclear winter. Careful what you wish for. Nuclear winter is no joke.

"causing cold weather and reduced sunlight for a period of months or even years, especially over flammable targets such as cities, where large amounts of smoke and soot would be ejected into the Earth's stratosphere"

Chernobyl must have had it bad, it was already a cold place on top of not receiving much heat it must have been les miserables. Did you see what I did there?

Chernobyl is actually pretty fascinating if you read up on it. Dangerous as a bitch and Pripyat is one of the most ominous places in the world I can envision seeing (that ferris wheel nearly 30 years unused, notably).

Forget who made the joke but... Is anyone else upset that 20 years after Chernobyl, still no super hero's?
