I'm really starting to get pissed off with online games. Everyone online are too hardcore with games, where are the beginner rooms everything is match making and it never put you in rooms with your same level of skill. Emo post, why do I even play games anymore.

Wow check out this video of Heavy Rain. It's a video of one of the characters in their apartment at night. Looks darn good. It's a mystery point and click genre game but made in a cinematic fashion.

And if you played the demo, which has online play, there are some bosses in the game that are like fighting HNMs. Lots of HP, deadly, and co op up to 4 players. Also the monsters are larger than life. Thinking about getting this, wonder if my Stars of Destiny ffxi PSN crew is getting it.

10 days 'til Dante's Inferno, pre-ordered it today.

Inferno is my favorite book and as such I can not play it because I will rage at every inaccuracy.

Caiaphas better be crucified to the fucking floor of hell. Paola and Francesca better be intertwined. Bertrand de Born better look epic swinging his head around like a lantern.

I'd imagine if you're a big fan of the Divine Comedy you're not gunna love the game but it still looks pretty dope. Been looking forward to it for a long time.

Saw Sef on the news with Dante's Inferno

Anyone played White Knight Chronicales? I had been interested at first but I've heard its a disappointment.

Pre-ordered Heavy Rain, GoW 3 and MLB 10. Probably looking forward to MLB the most. In before lolbaseball, I love baseball but haven't gotten a new one since 06.

I'm thinking about getting it. Spiderlily got it, letting him test the water first. Hoga was interested in at least renting it so the SoD PSN people could do statics online. You're getting MLB The Show right? MLB2k is the worst, although they have a contest where if you pitch a perfect game first you will win 1mil if you record it and send it to them (has to be on dvd). Baseball is cool, do some research on the games to see which you'd like though. I'm getting Heavy Rain for sure though. The reviews so far are great. Almost all are in french though.

I just got Pelaaja magazine (the biggest gaming mag in Finland) delivered today, and they gave the game 9/10.

Excuse the possible translation hiccups.

Pros

• The scenes can be replayed.
• The game continues eventhough the player fails.
• The controls are logical and intuitive, and bring variety to playing.
• It's encouraged to take the time and "live" in the game world.
• It isn't the usual type of approach to a serial killer story. The game doesn't concentrate on looking for clues and collecting stuff, nor listening to every dialogue line. Instead it concentrates on the characters and how life treats them throughout the game.
• The story stays mostly in the grey and mundane reality, there are no supernatural twists like in Fahrenheit.
• Mature atmosphere, which doesn't translate to blood & tits, although they're not absent either.
• For once, there's a proper theme music in a game. The game uses the music really well, the themes can express sadness and threat.
• There's at least two times' worth of replayability. The player can first try to strive towards happiness, and then dive into sorrow and despair.
• It's an exceptionally mature and touching game, where even the supporting characters are more memorable than the main characters in most games. Maybe an interactive movie isn't a curse word after all.
• Another reviewer's opinion: It's truly a milestone in game storytelling. It dares to handle hard and painful subjects in a mature way.

Cons

• In some scenes the player can die easily, whereas in others he can survive even if he screws up.
• The animation does sometimes feel stiff and awkward, especially after Uncharted 2. Sometimes it breaks the illusion, and makes the characters into lifeless digital puppets, but it's commendable the illusion births in the first place.
• The worst thing? The game tries to trick the player by presenting false clues and theories.
• The reviewer foresees, that at least half of the readers won't like the game.
• The game is basically an interactive movie in both good and bad sense. Sometimes the player might not know whether he's a player or a watcher.

Forgot one thing, which depending on a person can be a pro or a con;

The game is apparently slow-paced, the atmosphere is crafted gradually and slowly with mundane things. The reviewer thinks the game won't go well with younger players. Not only due to the pace, but also due to themes, like paternity, that younger people perhaps can't identify themselves with.

For me, it's definitely a pro.

Yeah, going with MLB the show. I've heard the MLB2k series isn't as good plus I'll probably be a little more used to The Show since i had one for ps2. Some of the screenshots look gorgeous.

Looking forward to Heavy Rain. I think the slow pace will be a pro for me. I like to explore a lot and probably tend to take games slower than most people.
