My melee wiz in act2 for the first time.

May to skip ahead a few minutes, I thought I cut that repair segment out.

God that is a huge nerf to ias. Thankfully, I have prepared. I have replaced my ias amulet with a huge dex ammy that actually gave me more dmg. I think I traded 13% ias for +100 dex. Also repped my lacuni bracers for dex heavy bracers. Lost 1k dmg but vit and mf. Still have ias/dex rings though.
Trying to sell. I'm not optimistic like Ploid in that preexisting items wont get nerfed.

My feelings about this game right now.

All of the other loot games I played before this put out at least a little. This game is waiting for 7 years before marriage, then 7 more years after.
In the beta there was a item you carried in your inventory (didn't take up space, it was on the user interface I think), you dragged crap gear to it and got the money you'd get for trading it at a npc. They should bring this back, and set it to automatically trash everything I pick up!
edit: for VD (receipt for items sold on Diablo 3 by some people).

Edit 2: Time to get rid of these

Someone got this from Sarkoth (gold farm spot)

I think I'm going to buy some good magic find gear, set up that script gear change macro and farm act 1 again and again and again and again and again and again and again
Fun stuff Blizzard.
Speaking of blizzard's idea of fun:
The same company that made starcraft 2 made this game. Starcraft 2 allows micro skills to make units more effective. In this game where you control one unit there's no point in trying to micro out of the way of damage. Also it's designed that enemies ignore stuff like Mirror image (wizard), pets, followers and go for you. The enemy ai only go after additional stuff for particular attacks, but the player is still their goal.
So I don't even think having good pets would even matter. They would need to block the path of the enemies so they can't get to you (gargantuan blocking the door for instance).

Speaking of blizzard's idea of fun:
Im probably late, but Blizzard gave an official response to folks noticing the bullshit Hitbox detection on melee and ranged attacks, and the way you sometimes get hit by stuff even though you have evaded 10+ yards away from it by the time the attack/swing sequence ends.Posted by Bashiok
It's intentional. We don't want a game where the most effective way to play is to dodge in and out of enemy attacks. It's not that difficult to do, and it's just not a very fun way to play.
I sort of figured it was the game. My ping is fantastic a lot of the times and my rig easily runs the game at a rock solid 60fps, yet I will still eat a melee attack a full half second after I vault away from a mob.
Nothing more frustrating than leaping away and dying at your landing spot, and there are ZERO visible enemies on screen because you were already a screen away before the attack decided to just hit you anyway.
Micro'ing apparently is apparently not reasonable or fun. Go figure.

I sold something on the RMAH. A ring for a little over 4 bucks. If I can do that 20 more times, I'll have my money back!

14 pages in, and the 3den game reviews have started to get ugly.
Glad I saved the 80$ to start with! (holy crap you paid 80 bucks for this?!)

My girlfriend bought the game and she never even bothered to finish it.
And remember, she's the one that played the previous ones and was stoked to play it.
I still haven't played it after beating Normal.

It isn't amazing yet but I still enjoy playing it.

I payed 60 bucks. There is a dollar transaction fee on the RMAH so I sold it for 4.20 and will only get 3.20. Also, there is some sort of "review" process and I haven't actually gotten anything yet though it is sold. They say it can take up to 72 hrs to process.
I'm not surprised your girlfriend, a fan of the series, stopped playing. D3 isn't very true to the series. There are similar aspects and it plays off the previous games storylines, kind of, but the game mechanics are very different. D2 was a much better, richer and deeper game that was tweaked very well over the years. D3 might get better but it'll never reach D2 status. D3, in my opinion, was dumped down a lot in order reach more players (casual players). There isn't as much diversity in builds and there isn't as much thought in the skills. You only get 6 at a time. In D2, you could use any skill you learned at any time.
I'd feel better about this game if they stopped nerfing everything.
Edit: VD snuck a post in during my rant. I agree with VD and to add, I guess I'm holding out hope that it'll get better cause D2 before the expansion, wasn't what it is now.

My legendary sold for 1mil (got it farming every inch of Act 1 with MF gear on), now I'm stuck at the ah not knowing how to spend it. Hoping I find a great dwal. Thinking about a shield that increase Spectral Blade dmg while keeping crit hit chance 10% and block chance.

Whole 1.0.3 patch notes.
http://www.diablofans.com/blizz-tracker ... -now-live/
http://www.diablofans.com/blizz-tracker ... -now-live/
DH nerfed :
Elemental Arrow
Skill Rune – Nether Tentacles
Tentacles will now only hit each target once
Breakable items no longer have a chance to drop loot, and there will be a rare chance that it drops a small amount of gold. (Stop breaking stuff! Love, Blizzard)
◦Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses
◦Legendary items with the +Attack Speed bonus will now correctly provide a bonus to attack speed
■Please note that this fix will only affect new Legendary drops. Existing Legendary items will be addressed in future patch.

I would have lost a lot, but I had already replaced all my ias gear except one ring so I didn't lose much. Most of the gear I have now was close or more dps than what the ias gear was. I had almost 100% and before the nerf I was already down to 27% (half from a quiver).
Being a pessimist payed off, since I sold most of the gear.
