I like the nage guild/college. Went on a field trip with the class to research a cave. I was totally hitting on the elf chick.

Also I like the crafting and such going on in this game. Everything is also very streamlined, Sef shouldn't have any problem playing it. Just play the way you want to and everything falls into place. There's no more annoying ways to level up like jumping 500 times for acrobatics. For speechcraft you level that up naturally by selling stuff to npcs or whatever. No circle talk system. I don't care if Sef don't play it (mostly having fun with his iron clad refusal to play a game like Oblivion, which probably every game probably is, to him), just saying it's a darn good game to pass up if you ever cared anything for a rpg type of game.
Also crafting (blacksmith at least) is painless and actually makes me want to hunt for hides, and hold on to those heavy mammoth tusks I got.
Someone else's pics. Think there is a ENB mod out that makes the lighting better.

I still enjoy the random shots.
I'm happy you enjoy the game, its always good when 60 bucks is well used or social life destroying as E-Rock put it.

I played it for 2 hours today. I can stop when I want, ffxi though... well the old days of ffxi. Going to start now before sleep. The good thing about offline gaming, well unless you let it consume your free time.

Yeah I picked up the PS3 LE box myself. Truthfully as much as it's a nice bunch of swag, the game itself is fucking beautiful. I sorta dropped FFXI and my linkshell's been hearing me talk nonstop about this game. lol

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
What class and such are you?
I'm raising the dead and calling wolf familiars to get my bst fix. I never thought raising the dead could be so evil and awesome. When they mummer like a animated corpse it kinda gives me a sense that I've done something very bad. I kinda feel sorry for them. Also I trap the souls of the dead people in stones to power my magical weapons.
I'm a BLM/Necromancer/archer. I got a bit too many BLM spells because I couldn't find many necro spells, and ranger is so I can damage far off without using up mp.

Edit: Oh no, huge exploit found.

This game has to be amazing to get SNK to drop FFXI for even 5 minutes.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
This game is huge. Going on a trip, the taxi dude won't go anywhere near the place I need to go. The horse is too expensive, and I have some new spells to protect me so I'm walking all the way (ghost dog, and fire chick). I got my smithing up to a decent level. I can make some ok money with it, especially crafting jewelry.
I like the pace of everything. I can push to get stuff done, or I can be all chill and mine, harvest, cut wood, craft and level up all while doing this.

Salmon, hard to catch because of the current though. Even though my dog is a spirit he get's swept away by it still.

Summoner party!

Redguard here. After I get done with this playthrough I'll make a thf class, and steal everything!
Finished that trip. Took me a few hours but had some cool encounters on the way. Went the wrong way for about 2 hours. Got to a Fall season looking area with a lot of mist and spiders chasing people. Good times.
FFXI bst, finally!

Reminded me of "The Never Ending Story" movie.

Logging back in. Time to get more powerful, atm I'm paper thin. I should get into heavy armor and be more like a bst, with a summoned axe as well. My robes are so pimp for necromancer skills though.

Joined the Thieves' Guild and they gave me some awesome lockpicking/pickpocketing armor.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
You should try to get caught up into the Dark Brotherhood clan. They are assassins, and will try to get you to kill NPCs at night while they sleep and such type of ninja missions. In oblivion they were the best missions. I would finish the hits almost feeling sorry for the target.
In oblivion the way to get recognized by the dark brotherhood was to kill a honest npc without getting caught. Might take a few kills but their spies are watching you. Be evil and get away with it.
I want to do the thf guild so bad. I'm all caught up in the mage college and so far is very interesting. THF next run, then I'll transition my thf into an assassin. Oh and the dark brotherhood seem to have a awesome stealth suit. One tried to kill me in this game but my pets were too much for him.
Got a awesome imaginary bow I summon from thin air. Damage 53 and the best bow I had before was 11. lol physical bows. Oh that big ice thing in the back? My summoned tank. I'm getting pretty powerful, I'll still die fast if I get aggro though. I use the force push shout and that's about all I have.

Such a perdy game. Imagine next gen and the graphics from those games.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
I just got done looting that place (I think) in your last picture there. My character isn't all that strong yet since I was a little late getting to it. THF Guild armor isn't all that great for fighting but in terms of game commerce it's awesome.
Body: +20 Carrying Capacity
Head: 10% Off all items
Hands: +17% Pickpocketing skill
Feet: +15% Sneaking Skill
I got this Orcish Bow of Burning which is only like 15 dmg so I look forward to being able to amp that up a bit whenever possible. Can't wait to get some legit fighting armor...I have some enchanted stuff but I need to up my smithing and get some sort of enchantment to make it better ;[

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
I find that the easiest way to level up smithing is to make the leather body armor. Farm a lot of animal hides, make a ton of leather, then a few leather strips and spam the leather body armor (the light armor decorated version, not the fur armor).
That armor is darn good. Money maker, wish I had extra item carrying. You have a NPC companion? I load up some of my marerials on my npc. When you're doing your thf thing you can tell them to wait so they won't get in the way.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
Yeah I know about all that, I lost my NPC and she isn't where I left her so I haven't stumbled onto her yet but I don't really care. Where have you been farming stuff and what level are you? I'm level 11 so I don't really know a quick way to make money, and that is really shitty at low levels. I do the quests to get good items but everything I do is intensely hard since I have no more healing potions/spells.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
There is a stone buff that allows you to skill up about 15% faster.
Click for full map view (not the total map but zoomed out as far as I can. It's near the south west part of the map, it's a long trip. I probably really need a horse so if you have one it could be faster. It's worth it though. Use the circled island for a reference.

What I do is make a ton of leather armors and sell. My pets do all the work and I can constantly call them if one die and I'm in a good spot where I can wait for mp. The biggest thing I make money from is the loot I collect from dungeons. I have a speech necklace that gives me better deals on buying stuff (Speech 12 or something), if I add perks I'd get even better deals but I'm doing nothing but Conjuration and Destruction atm.
With THF you shouldn't hold back on stealing stuff, you need to work on your perks that let you sell stolen stuff (it's in the speech tree I think). For now put your stolen stuff in a chest that you can get to easily via fast travel. A old abandoned house for example, one where you can take stuff without a red hand on it. You can put stuff in a dresser if a chest isn't present.
Also be sure to sell to different NPCs because they tend to run out of money.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim | Sef's favoritest game.
This game seems like a combination of WoW and FFXI.
