Also make sure you have the craft that seem to be the most profitable maxed before the expansion. And find things newbs can't access and exploit it asap for $$$ (don't know the German money symbol).

Sweet. So far my main class is a glad, but i've been leveling some other classes to add a nice variety of abilities to it. Other than glad, pug is one of my favorites. That class puts monks to shame in ffxi. Just to touch up on what I said before, crafting looks interesting, but I wouldn't jump into it right away for 2 reason; lack of efficient way to buy/sell goods, and the crafting mats fill up your inventory pretty fast and I find it a pain to sort/get rid of.

Ah, I assume you're using keyboard? I'm actually a ps2 controller user myself, but yeah it takes a bit getting used to without one, but I heard it was actually a step up from the beta hehe. Also, judging from the screenshot, it looks like we picked the same starting area which is convenient if you need tips where to go next. I thought the opening cutscene + battle was pretty slick. I'm actually impressed with the story/story battles I've seen so far.

It's over, TKO, Lutia is charmed. Stop with the pics, makes me want it. I hear they have real black avatars in it now. I'd probably be like the cool dudes and pick a black chick to stare at all day.

I'm liking the game, there are certain things that I find pants on head retarded, though. Like, say I want to craft myself some rank11 Leather Himantes. I need a leatherworking material that you can't make until like rank 29 <.> Reliance on mats from other crafts is a pain, as well, but I've managed to milk that very flaw for a decent amount of gil, by making certain leather mats that are required for tailoring and the creation of GS and BS weapons. Spending 15k to make 24 Taupe Sheep Leathers and selling them for 5k a piece is nice. Taking a Taupe Sheep Leather and making 12 Taupe Sheep Leather Straps and selling them for 2k each is even nicer.

I started as Pugilist, and it's been a fun class so far. Adding Bloodbath from MRD and Cure from Conj has made it a very efficient solo class. Grinding is slow-going, though. I'm almost rank 17, but I see some people are already rank 30 <.>
