I'm pretty hyped to start on capping my rdm/thf/war now. I was nowhere near capping them before the break. 8sword, 1 evasion, 3 dagger. 1 vert. 1 mp, 3 crit. 2 feint, 5 triple attack, 1 aura steal -_-, 2 zerk/aggressor, slow2/phalanx2 lv.1, 5 meditate. That's it, meriting is a pain when you gotta lfp and there's no gilean, and when people take all the camps, and you can't really play long.

8 Axe, 8 Katana, 4 Shield

4 Axe, 4 Katana, 4 Shield, 4 Parry, 4 Evasion

Defensive merits other than shield don't really do too much tbh. I'd go with the weapon merits.

I live by my evasion on thf. Love that crap (evasion skill seems much better than just +evasion). I'm up to like 310 skill in none toau and bastok owned zones. The more evasion merits I have the more accu I can wear or something (Dharness vs Sharness). I don't mind tp attacks if they deal with accuracy or def down type things. I hate atk down from vampire bats, and uh, shadow ignoring/evasion ignoring tp moves. Last thing I did was tank limbus to like 3 bones for a rdm and war (death due to aggro looking for time chest 3mins left). Thf is such a pwn job gawd.

Yeah, but he's not a thf, though NIN really doesn't need evasion to solo stuff, we debuff and melee things into the dirt.

Ah thought you meant for me too heh. lol evasion don't seem to phase nin. They tear crap to shreads if they're farming, and have way more shadows in long but low level fights. HNM stuff and evasion don't seem to match much though . Oh and they have those blind, paralyze, slow jitsu gawd nin is hax.

True facts. I had capped evasion at one point, and I didn't notice a bit of difference when I took them out. The only thing they were helpful for was levelling nin to 75 ;x

lol omg capped evasion XD dang hah. Yea the exp must have been nice for you until the burn type exp parties when they become useless. I would only use up to 2 evasion merits myself. The stuff I solo exp off (I'm thf and people rarely thf burn) miss me enough as is. Even tried to pull a MG and kill dhamels in bibiki to screw with gilsellers. Ended up putting on attack gear to speed up and still held up pretty fine (but I noticed how much more often I had to depend on shadows after). I wanted to believe my evasion merits (took one for sword cap) helped my bst, but that would be a lie as many times I died from one lucky hit before utsu.

Burn parties weren't all that normal when I was levelling NIN, hehe. It was still the era of tank and spank for the most part.

lol yea those days sucked, but it's the only reason my thf hit 75 as quick as it did, that and the 10hour sky farms of "old eden" (you guys really want that! 40+k of exp in sky farm only to ding my thf to 75!).

I hit Lv75 BLM on New Year's Eve about 1hr before 2006 in Lufaise Meadows.

I hit Lv75 SMN sometime in August on an Imp.

I hit Lv75 COR sometime in February on a Jnun.

Yep, that was the exp maker in sky. Didn't fight anything else over and over for exp. We were in the Genbu only stage of the ls. Then like a week or 2 later we went for suzy, then seiryu. Took a while to go for tiger.
