Back to topic, synergy is actually very simple. From what I've seen, very few people do it.
What you do is, throw an item into the furnace, and try to feed it elemental energy of all 8 elements to reach the target values.
Insert coin.
Feed it elemental energy.
Have it explode in your face, take damage and various bad status effects. How exciting!
Not recommended for level 1 crafting mules.
So far, from what I've seen, most results you can get from synergy are utterly useless. For all you quitters anyway.
