Seriously, I did not take a break from this game until after the second play through and that was only because I had homework. The second playthrough, although same missions, feels great and is very challenging making it almost a completely different game. Playthrough 1 is 1-34ish, Playthrough 2 34-50 and then at the end of Playthrough 2 EVERYTHING changes to level 48-52 and this is when you get the really good stuff and everything is insanely difficult. My roommate is taking the Xbox this weekend so I have to do homework. :< Only problem is the stuff that is glitched/bugged atm but it seems fixes are coming very soon as one patch has already been issued. Seriously, go get this game. Even the random games I joined online seemed pretty cool and I only found one Halo fanboy that griped and was a whiny bitch. Must buy list now: Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 (last though cause it seems to be shortest), and MW2. Such an awesome couple of months.

Rent Demon's Souls, it's unforgiving not hard but it may piss you off the wrong way lol. You're not limited to losing 4k exp.

I'm currently trying to do research on Dragon Age: Orgins to see how it turned out. I have until Nov. 4th to cancel the preorder, if I cancel I guess I'll get Borderlands.

Nah, Demon's Souls is a must have for me. I love tough RPGs and them being that hard just makes me want to come back for more.

Well you might want to wait and see how Dragon Age: Origins turn out. It seems to play like FFXII (ffxii seem to be made after Baulder's Gates 2 which DA:O is the spiritual successor to).









This is more like offline ffxi than demon's souls. You got your party, dragons, huge story with a history which took years to develop (seriously it's said Bioware spent like 2 years making the backstory). It's a PC, PS3, and Xbox360 game. It's best played on PC: better graphics, different zoom view option, mods, and more enemies on scree. The consoles deal with less enemies by making the enemies harder.

My laptop is a piece of shit so it can't handle anything that has been released in the past two years. I logged onto FFXI last night and it nearly died doing Dynamis - Valkurm. I made it look like blobs on the screen and it still wanted to die. Ijdk.

Killer, what char have you been using? The chick has those elemental weaps that are jus sick. I jus got to level 15 as a Soldier tonight so been working on that. I hate sometimes people will come into the game and then just loot all of my shit. I have been absolutely stacking money though which I kinda thought was going to be a pain in the ass when I first started ;/

I'm a soldier. It's just so damn crazy with the right shotgun. I can probably do more or equal DoT and have way more survivability than any other class. Well, IDK about Brick cause I haven't played as him but it seems that his rocket launchers aren't that great. I haven't even noticed launchers doing shit for damage when I used them. I can down Ultimate Rakk Hive (level 51 boss) in under 3 minutes with my shotgun. I say this after seeing my roommate play as a Hunter 50, Siren 50, and now Hunter again to 40 because his first got corrupted. Needless to say I've been powerleveling a lot on my Soldier. Here's the break down imo:

Brick: Pretty much seems like a meat shield to me and without heals he doesn't look that impressive. Decent damage but the Launchers seem weak.
Lilith: Great DoT but can't seem to stay alive as well as Roland or Brick. SMGs seem to have a higher bullet output than any other weapon in the game and I tend to use these more than the combat rifles. However, this could be due to the lack of decent combat rifles I've found. Double Anarchy ftw.
Roland: Shotgunner all the way. Go stat, quick charge, and metal storm and you cannot go wrong. I can rush in to the middle of 10 guys and as long as I can take one down, another will go down and another and another. Combat rifles are meh overall but you can always use a SMG.
Mordecai: Highest burst damage and without precision he won't be best damage dealer. However, he does get many skills that make him very easy to top the charts such as trespass or the killer shot skill. I get so tired of my roommate stroking himself over this guy's crazy burst damage that I would rather him just stay Lilith. I have not seen a melee or Bloodwing build for this but I kinda doubt his melee would be that great as he seems to be the easiest to kill. He does get Riotous Remedy, though.

I too have been playing Roland. I thought he would be the coolest, but I also hadn't tried anyone else. He seems balanced compared to everyone from what I've heard though.

I have found some absolutely disgusting weapons. I've used a LOT of combat rifles because of their range....generally I like to stay away from trouble. That being said, I've also used shotguns a lot. They have a lot greater range than in most games, and I found a fucking pimpass one that carried me through the first playthrough (Glorious Crux or something...the rarest quality of gun). I still have it so that rocks. Just started my second playthrough not long ago and already I'm loving it more than I did the first time through. My char is extremely pimp, and I have some awesome mods to customize my char with whatever gun or setup I'm looking for at the time. Only thing that sux is that I keep forgetting about my turret ;/
