I got lucky. Lights were off for only 1 and a half day. The water was just about to be shut off due to the water pressure ending (no electricity to run the pump). Then bam the lights were on.
I'm now tired of these storms that knock out the power here. The last one that knocked out power was last month. A tree fell on the power lines. Same happened this time, people need to cut down trees that are near power lines for crying out loud. Invent some kind of power line protector if you want to save the trees.

It's 85 out and there's a lot of sun.
What a shitty day.

My electricity just came back on from Gustav. Thankfully Ike took a westward turn.

Dang man. Yeah, I'm also relieved about the Ike thing. The Gulf is like some weird hurricane train lately.

Texas got hit hard.

I should see if my uncle, aunt, and cousins are doing ok. I don't have their numbers though. They're probably fine (Fort Worth).
Yep, Fort Worth seems fine.
Thousands of Hurricane Ike evacuees have taken up shelter in Dallas, Fort Worth and the area's surrounding counties, according to reports from county officials and the City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management.

I live in the Dallas/Ft.Worth metro, Proid. We practically saw nothing in regards to the hurricane, aside from a little bit of rain. The leader of Remnants is in Houston however, and oddly enough I haven't seen him since Friday night, and that night he kept dc'ing because of the strong winds. Hope he's ok.

I'm glad you was safe, and didn't lose power. Losing power is rough. It seems like a lot of texas people will be out of power for a while still. It get's hot, your food is ruined, after a while the water pumps have to shut down, and it's all around uncomfortable. Of course the people that only have to worry about power and not missing family members, torn down houses, and being stuck somewhere injured and can't move are fortunate.
This hurricane business lately is scary. I hope Josephine don't be so rough.
Any other Eden members in texas?

There's still plenty of people in Louisiana without power. Some folks in Texas are gonna be out for damn near a month.

Feel so bad for the people that live on the gulf coast, makes me sorta glad the only things we deal with here in Michigan is the occasional blizzard, and flooding rain for the most part.
/comfort people who live on the gulf coast and were affected
