I didn't think they were going to merge them again, just thought they were making new servers that existing people can't go on, and exploit all the expected new people.

According to Digi they're making new servers and giving you the option of which to join.

Heard they weren't letting existing player characters on new servers when the release 2.0, but I don't really follow the info too close.

Gonna pay for June so I'll try to log in sometime this week.. I hope unlocking jobs doesn't take much time..are you already onto leveling a job Kuyu? or doing the classes still? Also, are you finding it easy to get parties to xp???

to unlock a job... you equip a weapon.

Unless you mean THM -> BLM type deal, in which case you open a quest, kill an easy mob and turn quest in.

I got everything to 15 already, except pugilist and lancer are still 10

Have PLD/GLD at 33, and BRD/ARC at 33. Exp pts i pretty much make my own when i get back from work, but leves are ez and shit for xp and gil so i do those most of the time

neg. Crafting seems retarded unless you use guild leves for them, in which case it supposidly levels fairly fast. I did smithing 1-11ish without them and it took a while.

crafting really depends in the recipies used. if you hit the right level range you can easily get 700-1k exp/craft.
on the other hand... this crafting minigame gets super annoying and it takes forever D:

Just get a lot of mats and press the button while watching a movie or something, you'll be 50 in no time!

I usually use http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/ has info on most quests I've had to lookup, also has full skill/spell lists and such
