HDMI Cables vs Monster Cables

#1 Post by dionious »

Hey guys, I finally got my hands on a HDTV and have been doing some research on HDMI cables. I'm trying to find out if Monster cables are worth it, make such a big difference, and if they are worth the hefty price tag. My buddy who works at BestBuy says it is, but i'm skeptical since he works at BestBuy... my other buddy says they aren't and linked me this article:

http://www.mint.com/blog/trends/the-rip1/

which basically says that since HDMI data is all digital (transferring 1's and 0's), they simply either work or they don't. What are your guys thoughts?

With HDMI being a digital signal, sending a string of 1's and 0's, it either works perfectly or not at all.

The answer is right there. Anything else is bullshit. Of course BestBuy wants to sell stuff...

good call, just grabbed a 6ft hdmi cable from a buddy who works at the cable company (for free :D) and it looks amazing. Loving the 1080p graphics on the 360, i'm never leaving my house again
