alienware halp!

So I haven't had any problems with this computer, recently installed ffxi again to use friends account, and worked fine , lesft computer on overnight and now whenever I connect to the internet i can't open anything. When I'm not connected everything works fine, but I plug the internet in and the little internect connection thing. In the corner shows up as a little "!" In a triangle and I can't even open my control pannel. Anyone have this problem or have an idea how to fix it? Halp, plzkthx!

My recommendation:
apply fire to the inner workings and let nature do the rest
